Fascinating! I’ve always mentally pronounced it more or less as you say, but Sede rhymed with Seed in my head because I was thinking in English.

That’s fascinating. I read it as claire-for-seed, but I am not known for my fabulous pronunciation skills.

As you may have noticed, Clerefor Sede is now @Jules.
Note that the original username can never be changed (only the display name), so when @mentioning you’ll still see @ clerefor-sede until you post. I probably could have explained that better…

Was there a regular poster called Jude or have I gotten that confused with The New Testament?

Ravenclaw – George – Analytic and quiet
Hufflepuff – Ringo – Loyal and good-willed

“A sense of teamwork?” A sense of leadership maybe but I got the impression that he needed to review the basics of teamwork during LIB …

Maybe a very one-sided sense of teamwork but he wanted the group to go on more than anyone on the band.
I’d call that nostalgia or resistance to change rather than teamwork but sure

Even so that “resistance of change” came from a place of fear, anxiety, and insecurity because he perceived the Beatles were basically his only source of self-esteem and worth, as we can see in the aftermath of the Beatles breakup where he fell into a deep depression and almost formed a serious drinking problem if it wasn’t for Linda being the ray of sunshine that she is.
And, in general, with Gryffindors, I wouldn’t call it “teamwork” so much as they have an overwhelming sense that they need to be in the leadership position. Hufflepuffs, I feel, are more the “teamwork” house

That’s not what I mean. Paul wasn’t just a guy that discredited ideas. He didn’t go behind everyone else’s back to record solo stuff, unlike John or George. He wasn’t the kind of person that would betray you because you don’t agree with him, he was the kind of person that tried really hard to convince you that his ideas were best. John & George on the other hand, were more of a “he doesn’t listen to me so I’m gonna go on my own”, you know. Neither is a bad approach, everyone has different ways of expressing originality. But Paul didn’t want to do things by himself, he wanted everyone to understand why he wanted the things he wanted, and for people to help him carry them out. When good ideas were proposed to him, he accepted them very quickly. That sounds like a very Gryffindor thing to me.
When I think of a selfish leader Roger Waters comes to mind more.

Oh crap I just realized I’m more of a John/George than a Paul when it comes to “he doesn’t listen to me so I’m gonna go on my own”

Huh, very interesting, Jules. In my head, I always pronounced it “claire-for see-dee”.
Now that you’ve changed your name, the question in my post makes me look really dumb :

Sorry if you’ve explained this before somewhere, but I’m curious: @Jules, where did you get your name? And how do you pronounce it?
Like, “Uhhh, I got it from my parents, and it’s just pronounced ‘Jules’….”
