Exactly the same on my phone, @50yearslate, only more angry and struggling. AG can confirm how I stab away at that annoying fecking barsteward screen in frustration with my right forefinger, while fumbling with the addition of my left forefinger when a second touch on the touch screen is needed. Fecking hate phone touch screens. Fecking most pigging stupid great leap forwards for those with clumsy fingers. And I got clumsy fingers.

Yes, Nasty gets frustrated quickly when having to tap on a phone keyboard. I think his laptop is working so he needs to answer the email I sent him. AG can’t wait forever. a-hard-days-night-john-3

Yes. Almost all phones are equipped with Bluetooth, which is basically a short-range connection between devices. My headphones are Bluetooth. My computer’s mouse and keyboard are Bluetooth. You can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at once. Also, if you’re a Zoomer and you don’t know how to properly type on a keyboard, I think humanity must be regressing. a-hard-days-night-paul-7

My mother and my elementary school tried hard to teach me for years, but the typing lessons don’t work if you don’t put your fingers on the keys the way they want you to- after I progressed from the “fjfjfjfj” lessons I just hunted and pecked as I pleased to meet the time limit.

Love one another.

Sigh a-hard-days-night-paul-7 they should have taught you to type by typing out Beatles* lyrics instead. ahdn_paul_01

*I mis-typed this (I’m on my phone) and it auto-corrected to ‘Be at peace’. a-hard-days-night-ringo-10

I’ve typed “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” many hundreds  (thousands?) of times since 1981 (9th grade typing class)

I learnt to touch-type as part of a course where the typing classes where the part you HAD to pass or fail the whole course (a kind of technical college here called TAFE). I had only bought a computer maybe six months previously so I was quite motivated! However, I am not so motivated by Bluetooth devices and prefer wired or at most WiFi connections generally, as I can control/configure their security better than Bluetooth.

Also I just got new progressive glasses from Zenni and they’re great!

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I learnt how to type by going on both children’s chat sites (Club Penguin and the like)  and then in later years (when I was about 11, 12, 13) I used to go on chat sites dedicated to interests I had and I’d chat with random people there at like 3am. There could be like 30 or 40 people all posting in the chat at the same time so you’d have to type quickly to get your point in or you’d get caught up in the mess. Made some good friends there who I still talk to, ten years later.

I average approx 83-84 wpm (the average is 40wpm) and 98% accuracy  which puts me in about the top 7% of typists. I can use all fingers, not look at the screen blah blah an old job I had was dictating legal notes, whether I was actually qualified for that, who knows? I think I’ve stagnated at my speed though as it hasn’t increased in about 4 years. It’s been a good run.

Ahhh Girl

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
