What’s the oddest thing in your search history right now? Or, if you don’t want to say that, second weirdest? Or third?
Right now, mine is a Google search for ‘what is santa claus’

I exclusively use InPrivate browsing and flush my DNS multiple times a day but I’ve been showing a weird interest in cold places like the North Slope Borough of Alaska or the Trinity Peninsula. One really cool place i found was the Auckland islands, where the average high ranges from 8*C in January to 15*C in June.

Well, I try not to look too much at my history. I clear it frequently for just that reason. However, the other day my brother “borrowed” my computer and went to the Johnny Jolter Professional Power Plunger page on Amazon, so…

I did look up ‘population per capita map’ last week though, but that was for a good reason I swear…

I’ve been Googling things from too many different devices with varying degrees of spying on me lately but right now I can say that I do have a tab open for ‘Gothic church door’. (Drawing research. I’m a bit of an architecture junkie.)
I think I may have searched ‘how do you french kiss’ once… not knowledge I ever intend to use but I like scarring my brain knowing

Definitely modern pop. Albums like Carly Rae Jepsen’s Emotion, Billie Eilish’s when we all fall asleep where do we go?, Charli XCX’s Pop 2 and Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour would all fit under that heading and they’re some of the most creative and enjoyable projects I’ve heard in recent years.
Besides, hating on autotune is way over-done at this point. It’s awful when it’s used to cover up for lack of ability to hit the notes, but in itself it can be a pretty cool sounding effect.

Beatlebug, Von Bontee, ScarlettFieldsForeverI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I likewise only know a miniscule amount about modern pop or metal, which are admittedly huge categories. But I do listen in occasionally, and I have to say that pop is more likely to give me a bare amount of enjoyment, damnable autotune be damned, as long as it has a decent hook and/or a clever beat. Modern metal has left me far behind; my impressions of it are all cookie monster vocals and white-noise distortion levels, and little sense of groove. But I’m certainty underinformed.

What type of music do you prefer, modern metal or modern pop. Personally, i prefer modern metal since it requires talent as opposed to just autotuned vocals over a simple backing track.
Dub reggae. More genuine than pop, none of the quantization of metal, and always modern.

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

TBH i don’t listen to modern metal, the only stuff i know are YouTube guitarists like Rob Scallon and SteveTerreberry. But i am currently working on a metal side project, which is what convinced me to post this question.
