I always skip Little Child ,
I rarely listen to the early albums all the way through, but when I do, I don’t usually skip anything.
Polythene Pam , Mean Mr. Mustard,
Never skip anything in the medley! It defeats the whole purpose.
I never listen to Past Masters all the way through, but if I did, I probably would skip these just because I stuck them in Google Translate once to see how they compare lyrically to the originals, and they are completely different, so it drives me crazy trying to remember what they’re actually saying.
I have no problem with that.
NO! Not Bungalow Bill! It was the first song I ever heard off the White Album , and it made me want to listen to the other songs on it. Besides, it’s just a weird, interesting song that’s not supposed to make sense.
Dig It , and Maggie Mae .
What problems do people have with these? Sure, they’re not as good as some of the other songs on the album, but they’re short and I find them entertaining.
Carry That Weight (earworm chorus),
Again, no skipping of the medley!
But…Piggies ! It’s actually interesting and relevant (unlike some other songs I could name *coughIWillcough*) and is just a great song in general.
Unacceptable.
Fine by me.
I’ll just do the White Album songs I usually skip, otherwise the list would last forever and everyone would want to kill me.
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (Can’t stand it. It’s just too upbeat and happy and everyone likes it. Also pointless).
Wild Honey Pie (Because it’s annoying as heck).
Don’t Pass Me By (See above. Also pointless and makes no sense in a negative way).
Why Don’t We Do It In The Road? (Somehow manages to get stuck in my head for days at a time).
I Will (I know people like their annoying love songs, but I can’t stand this. I’m normally in a certain mood when I listen to the White Album , and this just infuriates me because of how happy and Paul-ish it is).
Birthday (Just annoying, pointless, and repetitive).
Honey Pie (See Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da and Wild Honey Pie combined).
Revolution 9 (I usually listen to a couple minutes of it before skipping it, just out of respect for it. I have yet to want to listen to the whole thing, though).
Good Night (It’s a nice concept, and maybe I would like it better if John sang it).
Hopefully only a few people will end up killing me over this post. It’s the best I can hope for.

(it just started playing, this is a sign from the gods)
I WILL IS A FECKING AMAZING SONG! IT IS SOME OF THE BEATLES’ BEST WORK! IT IS LITERALLY TIED FOR MY FAVORITE BEATLES SONG! It has sentimental value to me and it is simple and beautiful and it makes me so, so happy. Happy songs are not bad songs. Embrace the peacenlove.
I’m shook

I love Strawberry Fields Forever . It’s my eighth favorite Beatles song. But I Will puts it to shame, because I Will is the definition of perfection.
(I still can’t believe you used “Paul-ish” as a negative adjective )

Nah. And Your Bird Can Sing is the definition of perfection. If you don’t accept it, try Hey Bulldog instead.
I will answer this but too busy to list everything now…

Imagine skipping songs on the White Album as if that doesn’t make the intended experience moot.

Every Beatles song is perfection, even the bad ones, because the Beatles created them, this is a fact
I skip very little; I often find myself listening extra close to the ones I like least, trying to enjoy them in fragments.
What would I skip?…hm…”Love Me Do ” sometimes, the German pair usually, and “Hey Jude ” I’ll often abort a minute early, if not four. But no, generally I just let ’em play, and treasure the things I love about the handful of songs I don’t like.

Maybe we should:
Here’s a new question: (Fairly similar to a previously asked question)
What is the most annoying question you repeatedly get asked by random people?
For me it’s “Are you depressed?” I don’t know why, because constant exhaustion + minor obsession with death + eels + not liking people does not equal depression. It would also be nice for people to actually know what depression is and not assume everyone in the world is depressed just because they exist doing existence things.

^I’m sure people who actually suffer depression can wholeheartedly get behind that.
For me… hmm, maybe ‘Where are you from?’ (I look racially ambiguous, so it’s an understandable question, but it’s an extremely indirect, irritatingly pointless way to ask ‘What is your ethnic heritage?’ [we all know that’s the implicit inquiry] because, news flash, I’m from right here, I’ve lived here all my life ) — Not as annoying as ‘What grade are you in?’ though, I’m homeschooled so I can never remember that s**t.

I can relate to this SO STRONGLY i get asked this question almost every time I meet someone new and it really gets me (the ethnicity one)! It’s like they can’t believe that you’re from the same country as them!

Question: has anyone ever visited England or Liverpool?
Well, I and quite a few others here live in England, so I’m not sure if that counts as visiting or not. But I have visited Liverpool quite a few times – mostly for the airport, but a couple of my trips have been Beatley themed.

I’ve been to England twice. Most of the time I stayed in London, though I also visited Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham and some other towns. But I haven’t been to Liverpool because at that time I hardly knew about the Beatles (I didn’t even visit Abbey Road ! Big mistake)

I live within an hour’s drive of London, Ontario! Approximately 400,000 live there, it’s geographically about halfway between Toronto and Detroit, and even has its very own Thames River passing through the city.
And that is as close as I’ve come to England.
