I, too, am an introvert. However, I’m also the kind of person who is terrified of doing anything by myself, and I can be very outgoing with my closest friends and family. (And on the forum, as I’m sure you all can tell.

She is pretty but I think all cats are pretty and their personalities are unique. She doesn’t just like boxes, she likes chewing on them. She doesn’t just use a scratching post, she uses me as a scratching post to get my attention when she wants something (that’s a very tortie/calico thing). She doesn’t just miaow when I come over to give her a pat, she miaows when she’s done her business from the bathroom to let me know she’s finished and I have no idea why. And she doesn’t just play with toys she finds random things like rubber bands, or a hair tie or those little round competition things that you get with condiment jars and plays with those. She’s a bright, easily bored kitty and headbutts me and licks my nose to wake me up in the morning because its 5am and you feed cats then apparently.

(as for the wanting-food-at-5am thing, I have to lock my door at night so my cat doesn’t eat me, because if I don’t feed him every time he looks at me that is what he will do.)

It is a a slightly worrying thing with obligate carnivores that they’ll quite happily eat you if you’re dead enough. They do try to wake you up first though. The early mornings are my fault, it’s how I try and keep insomnia at bay which doesn’t always work, and now she’s used to an early breakfast. But in summer that’s a good thing, she gets useful moisture to get her through the day. Winter is going to get interesting

True. The only problem is that my kitty chooses to wake me up by biting me. Which I do not appreciate. (still jealous Beatlebug? 😉 )

Some cats genuinely don’t get that you’re not another cat that doesn’t mind biting. Noot always wants to play-bite and gets over-enthusiastic at times, but she’s just a kitty, she doesn’t know.

Offline One brother who was 10 years younger than me. He was killed in a car wreck on his 26th birthday.
