The inability to ever hear them again would be very depressing for me. It would be like a part of my soul being removed. The appreciation would always be there but the enjoyment level would obviously be impacted. I’d just have to remember how the music sounded via memory.
Fortunately, I’m pretty sure I’ve memorised/encoded in my DNA how all the Beatles songs sound
And as I said, I could always play them. It’s still kind of enjoyable to play even if you can’t really hear it (I speak from the experience of midnight strumming sessions ).

^ Yes, I’d definitely be listening to the (Beatles) music playing in my head.

I’d do the same with Beach Boys songs. If often found myself hearing the orchestration and harmony thinking that somebody is playing them, only to find that its all in my head.

Ladyeee McPenguin lying on the bed, listen to the Beatles playing in your head.
I have this weird idea that we’re all radio stations broadcasting 24/7 and switching the dials to pick up the good stuff. If I went deaf I know I’d be able to hear it all in my mind but I might really miss those good vibrations without it, and have to adapt really fast.

I wholeheartedly agree with @The Hole Got Fixed: I value my hearing very much. I don’t think I could really continue on as before if I lost it. There’s so many things I’ve heard, things I still hear, things I want to hear, and things I’ve not yet heard.

Do any of you have a scar? If so, tell us a story…
I have one on my upper lip (you can call me Paul). I put my teeth through it in grade 6 in PE while jumping up for a frisbee, and my teeth went through my lip and into someone else’s forehead. That was quite painful.
Anyone else?

I have a scar running alongside the inside of my ring finger on my right hand. I was scuba diving (I was absolutely rubbish at it, never again), came out of the water and realised my hand was covered in blood. At some point I had probably dragged it across a rope, cutting the inside of my finger open. Anyhoo I stuck a plaster on it and it healed into a really gnarly scar. It was bright red for about 2 years and used to get itchy sometimes but now it’s faded to white but you can still see it. My mam (who used to work in a hospital) saw it when I came back from France and said I should have got stitches for it but eh so is life.
It has ruined the slim chance I had of being a hand model though.

That sounds horrifying Paul
I have a scar on my chin from a bike accident when I was nine– on my ninth birthday actually. I got a new bike and was riding it down my neighbor’s driveway when the tire hit something and I flew off and smashed my face on the ground. I spent the evening of ninth birthday in the ER getting stitches. Best birthday ever.

I have a sort of weird indent-thingy near the inside corner of my right eye that might be a scar from something I could have picked at, although I’m not entirely sure. I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, and although it may just be some strange birthmark or something, I’ve never had a clear explanation for its existence.
EDIT: I’ve got one on the back of my left hand, as well.

I have 3 scars from shoulder surgery, a big scar on my arm from falling in a treadmill, and two scars on my leg and shoulder from falling into barbed wire. My right hand has tiny scars all over it.

I had molluscum contagiosum (a skin infection) on my arms when I was a kid. My dermatologist had to burn them off and it left a bunch of little scars. I also have a chip in one of my teeth from when I was intubated last year.

I have a tiny, but dented and visible, scar in my left eyebrow near the bridge of my nose. I got it when I was 2. I crawled into a coffee table too hard and had to get stitches. Guess you could say I’ve always been intense with all my actions. LOL.
I have a scar on my big toe on my right foot. When I was 18, I was cutting wet grass, and the grass kept getting clogged up in the mower. I would pull the mower up and bang it on the ground to loosen the grass. Sometimes I would kick the mower to loosen the grass. One time I pulled up and kicked at the same time and sliced my toe open. The red mark on this picture shows where I had to get stitches.

I must say, I thought fewer people would have a scar… Some very painful anecdotes, everybody!

Oh girl we ain’t even GOING there. I hope. ‘Cause otherwise we’re all going to flood this thread with emotional trauma stories inflicted by terrible music things and I really don’t want to open that floodgate… (I have to say, though, seeing Bowie in a scruffy beard {click link at your own risk} is something I have never fully recovered from )
I don’t think I have any physical scars, though. Unless guitar calluses count?
