In a heartbeat. I wouldn’t change much at all. About the only thing I would change is saving all of my 45’s and sports trading cards from when I was a kid. I’ve probably frittered away a small fortune.

Not everything. I’m proud of much of what I’ve done but I’m also full of remorse and regret. I’ve seen the light but also looked into the darkness.

That’s some deep s**t!  I don’t even know.  I guess so?  If I had the knowledge I have now, I would like to think I would have made smarter decisions…  but I guess the mistakes is how I learned?  a-hard-days-night-john-2

Without doubt.

Why have the chance to do it all again and end in the same place?

It depends largely on whether or not you like where you are.

This next question comes out of sheer curiosity and is not meant to offend. So many people in this Forum profess to be introverts. The only reson why I am mildy surprised is that, for most of my life, most Beatles fans I know/knew personally were extroverts like me. Online, however, it seems to be a different story. What do you suppose is the link between the Beatles and being introverted? Please don’t feel obligated to answer if it makes you uncomfortable.

I think it is more online forums and introversion since on a forum, you don’t have to be with people.

Personally I got to know The Beatles in a tough period of my life, when I was a teen, and pathologically introverted (I’m not like that any more). I guess The Beatles gave me the words to express a lot of emotions I had bottled up inside me, and a “soundtrack for my life”, the music to achieve catharsis with. They were saying many things I wanted to say but couldn’t.

Hey @Necko, you look like a nice guy! What a surprise! A guy into relaxing, reading, music, chatting with friends… In your pic as a forum member though, you look different with those shades: like a bad-ass biker. And thanks for posting your photograph, nobody does, and I certainly wouldn’t do it. Cheers, Oudis.

Any thoughts about Beavis and Butt-head?

Beavis_and_Butt-head.pngImage Enlarger

Do you guys remember them? Do you like them/hate them? I simply adore that animations series! I have to admit that I love them –they remind me of soooo many retards I had to put up with in high school. They crack me up; maybe you can say it’s one of my guilty pleasures, like watching zombie movies. I love them both, the funny hippie teacher, the aggressive former Marine Corps coach, the “We are gonna score!” line, everything. So those of you who have seen them feel free to express your admiration or say the show is crap.

Never understood the love for Beavis and Butthead so saw very little of it. That little i did see i found to be incredibly unfunny and irritating at the same time, the humour passing me by by light-years.

Sorry.

But then a lot of things pass me by. For instance i don’t get why people like wacky DJ’s on the radio with their ‘banter’, just play the music, and i hate the chat on tv quizzes where we get to meet the contestants – I never tuned in for the contestants, i’m watching for the quiz, therefore i couldn’t care less about who’s playing and don’t want to hear their supposed funny story that never is. Just ask the contestant(s) the question and then they answer it. Nothing else. It’s that simple. But presumably i’m in the minority.

I agree with you –TV quizzes pay too much attention to the usually boring stories of the contestants; but then again, it’s a way to attract people to the show: they give them their five minutes of fame. And I think one of the reasons why Beavis and Butt-head are so funny it’s because it’s a very realistic portrait of all the characters –and in real life they would be incredibly annoying people.

I love Beavis and Butthead.  I like Mike Judge’s work, in general.

As for bootlegging, I have no problem with it.  The way I see it, if the artist isn’t going to offer it for sale, then I have no moral problem with downloading it for free.  Paying for bootlegs, on the other hand, I do have a moral problem with, because whoever is making money from it is making money from music that he had no hand in creating.

Music or booze? I don’t own either.

I don’t go out looking for bootleg music, but would not turn it down if it was sent to me for free. I’m not a prude about it by any strecth, especially if it is unreleased material. If it’s officially released material, I’d just as soon buy it instead of downloading it. I’m just lazy that way. Amazon is the best thing for lazy folk since sliced bread.

Edit: Looks like @Necko and I forgot to ask a question…

How do you feel about sliced bread?

I’m lazy too. I like my bread already sliced.

Do you put on both socks before you put on your shoes? Or are you a sock/shoe-sock/shoe person?

Both socks before my shoes.

RE: sliced bread: It’s pretty convenient.

What do you think that people said was “the best thing since X” before sliced bread was introduced?
