I go to work, meditate, do yoga, say mass, study esoteric philosophy, collect music and books, take walks, read for pleasure, watch Twin Peaks, movies and concert videos, post on a Genesis forum and an Elvis forum, and occasionally visit friends.

I have school (of course), homework, studying, et cetera. I also write poetry, the occasional song lyric, some short stories, and other things. Video games take up some of my time as well.
Oh, and thinking. I think a lot. While listening to music, in complete silence; about happy things or sad.

I spend most of my free time on either on here or on YouTube. So really, the answer to your question is no: I don’t really do much else besides on here.

I scrolled through my internet history just for the hell of it, and it is 90% Beatles Bible, 8% Youtube, and 2% miscellaneous research and browsing. So digitally this is pretty much all I do.

My search history is about the exact same! I generally use my phone more for random browsing/research.

I don’t even have a browsing history because I use InPrivate browsing, mainly because I hate having a browsing history and I hate leaving traces of what sites I went to on my computer, which is also why I flush my DNS on a regular occasion.

I check in here generally 2-3 times for about 10 minutes each every day, (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer). I often go days without posting because I feel I have nothing to contribute (which is why my post count is relatively low compared to the duration I’ve been here).
In the real world, I go to college, dance, work, act, badly play the piano and ukulele, meet up with friends, and watch quite a bit of telly (which I’ve only really gotten into properly in the past few months, as in watching all of those 4-part, 6-part once-off dramas on BBC, Channel 4 and the like. I’ve been enjoying myself so far). I’ve also taken on properly learning Japanese, so I’ve been practicing my hiragana, katakana and kanji every day (I can’t draw for scheisse though so some of the symbols like hiragana ‘A’- I just cannot write properly).

I go to school everyday(which is about to end on the 7th of June) and hang out with friends quite often. I also go to church on Sundays, as well as attend church activities throughout the week. Although, because I can access this forum from my phone, I’m technically always on the forum. I usually browse it during any second of downtime that I get.

Do any of you guys do anything else besides go on this forum. I personally don’t, I try my best to be on the forum as often as possible, although sadly things such as the sleep cycle, bodily functions, hunger, my parents forcing me to do things, and no good posts to reply to prevent me from doing so. Also, on the rare occasion that I am in public, I am either thinking about you guys or how much life sucks.
I’m also on an Oasis forum and check out the Beatles forum and Steve Hoffman forum sometimes.
I do college related stuff, I work, I spend time with family and friends, I read, I watch series and movies (now that I have more time), I spend a lot of time walking, cycling, surrounded by nature..

What instruments do you love and hate to hear in a song. As far as what I love to hear in a song, I like acoustic and or electric guitar (depends on the song), bass, and drums for the majority of songs, although I like it sometimes when other instruments such as mouth instruments and bowed strings are thrown in as well and I think a piano or other keyboarded instrument such as an organ can really enhance a song. As far as instruments that I hate to hear in a song, that would go to drum machines, samples when the instrumentation is nothing or almost nothing but, and fake guitar parts played using a keyboard on the guitar setting, as well as when instruments like saxophones are overused in rock/pop music or when brass instruments are used in heavy metal.

I completely and utterly agree.

I disagree. Saxophones are great (@Martha), and so is brass. They liven up the song, and brass is a welcome addition to heavy metal (though I rarely if ever listen to the genre).

In rock songs, I really love electric guitars. Acoustic guitars are great as well but an epic solo on an electric guitar makes my day usually. Bass and drums are amazing to have in a song too but in some songs, like She’s Leaving Home nothing of the above is needed.
Hammond organs can add a nice colour to a song and for some reason, I like handclaps and, oh well, saxophones.
In classical orchestra pieces, I am fond of the sound of violas, bassoons, and french horns. They have such a warm sound, all three of them.

I like saxophones when they are used once in awhile, such as with The Beatles, but when they are used all of the time and regularly replace the lead guitarist, I don’t like it, especially in rock music, although this doesn’t bother me with jazz music because that’s where I think the instrument’s home is. By the way, I’m mainly talking about sax solos here and not just sax parts.

Kind of compulsory to thank that post: You complimented French Horns!
A guitar solo is never a bad thing, I agree. I think there aren’t many rock songs that wouldn’t benefit from one.

Definitely electric guitar and organs. I’d quite like to hear a harpsichord a lot more often in modern music.

Electric guitars are great, got to agree with you there. All of the best rock lead guitarists perform their best work on an electric guitar whether it be George Harrison , Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Brian May, Stevie Ray Vaughan, or Kirk Hammett. This may sound weird but I sometimes prefer a clean electric guitar to a distorted one, sometimes you can more tone out of a clean guitar.

Acoustic guitars are great for some songs like Nowhere Man and Ramble On and I especially love when they use both acoustic and electric such as with Ramble On. For some reason, a steel stringed acoustic guitar sucks when it comes to solos, electric guitars are great at it and classical guitars can do a good job as well, such as in Till There Was You , which is one of my favorite George solos, but regular acoustic guitars can’t do them right. This is the main reason why I hate when people use acoustic guitars in blues and blues rock, I feel that blues music was made for the electric guitar.

Yeah, some songs are hard to add bass and drums to, such as Yesterday . By the way, She’s Leaving Home has bass in it, it’s played by Gordon Pearce on an upright bass which you might think is different from an electric bass but it’s not really. Actually, Elvis’s bass player Bill Black used to use one.

I feel the same way, I can’t imagine a song like Mr. Moonlight or Only A Northern Song without one.
