Their history is a huge part of why I love The Beatles, and the personalities go along with it. But the music is too important to not give at least 75-80%.

As for Paul, I’m fine with him being a vegetarian although I think vegetarianism is stupid because unless if everyone becomes a vegetarian, meat factories are still going to be in place, there isn’t a single place anywhere in the world ever that closed down because there weren’t enough people who ate meat products…
I don’t think anybody goes vegetarian with the goal of closing down all slaughter houses. It’s not necessarily about stopping cruelty – it’s about standing by my convictions and doing what I think is right. Why would I pay somebody to slaughter a pig when I am morally opposed to killing other beings? That would just make me a hypocrite.
The belief that decreasing consumption of animals and animal products does nothing as far as production of animal agriculture goes is flawed, though. More and more people are buying plant-based milks instead of dairy, and because of this, sales in milk have declined. This does have an impact. It’s all about supply and demand.

To which extent do you love the Beatles solely because of their music and to which extent because of everything else (political activities, characters/personalities, humour,…)?
I see them as a while, honestly, so I couldn’t answer that. I’m past this stage now, but when I was first learning about them and reading books about them all the time, it seemed that the more I learned about their lives, the more I appreciated them as human beings and that also gave me a better appreciation of their music as some of it I understood better after learning about them and what was going on in their life at that time.

I know that part of being a vegetarian is standing by what you think is right and I am fine if you and Paul McCartney want to be vegetarians but there are problems with being a vegetarian, such as it being more challenging to get certain nutrients into your body.
Also, many vegetarians don’t have a problem with consuming dairy products, so saying that more people are drinking plant based milks instead of normal milk isn’t a good example, especially considering 75% of people are lactose intolerant, or at least according to this site and most would prefer not to eat something they’re allergic to, in this case milk, so that has more to do with people who are allergic to milk than vegans.

Veggitarians and dairy are not as related as vegens and dairy.
Are plants less alive than animals.
About the question, I like looking at the Beatles as people more than the songs. Noticed a forum trend towards the extreme nuances of a song which doesn’t intrest me at all.

Nothing I should let go of but can’t. If anything I care far too little about most things and have to find energy to do so.
I always pointed to my Beatles watch being the one possession I couldn’t lose. I did, I got a replacement, life went on.
I don’t have regrets or issues with people, lost them when my dad died and decided they were pointless. I now take John’s stance when he said
“It doesn’t matter about people not liking our records, or not liking the way we look, or what we say. You know, they’re entitled to not like us. And we’re entitled not to have anything to do with them if we don’t want to, or not to regard them. We’ve all got our rights, you know, Harold.”

Stamp collection. I only ever sat down and properly focused on the thing about three times, all well as going to a stamp fair of dominantly 70 – 80 year olds. I should mention this was about two years ago, but I don’t want to get to rid of it because I promise myself to go back to it and I never do. Perhaps when I celebrate receiving my pension, I will go back to it for real.

Do any of you guys do anything else besides go on this forum. I personally don’t, I try my best to be on the forum as often as possible, although sadly things such as the sleep cycle, bodily functions, hunger, my parents forcing me to do things, and no good posts to reply to prevent me from doing so. Also, on the rare occasion that I am in public, I am either thinking about you guys or how much life sucks.

The only times I come off the forum is for generic reasons such as sleeping, eating and going outside, and going to the loo. Other rarer times it can be for homework, revision time (which is coming up like a flower ), reading, or just when nothing on the forum interests me or no one else is online and I want to practise guitar or something.
