The last cannon Beatles song I ever heard for the first time was “Tell Me What You See “. I’m sure I’d heard it before then, because I had listened to the full Help album before, but I had never acknowledged it’s existence ti’ll I discovered it one time on a road trip. At this point I knew pretty much all the songs in the cannon except this one. It was funny because I thought I knew them all and then thos song came on, and I was like, “I’ve never heard this one.”

I wonder though how you wanted to prove OANS being the last song you’ve discovered The Hole Got Fixed?
I said that to emphasise that I’m very sure about OANS being the last song.

The last song I heard for the first time is Old Brown Shoe . It was March 8, 2011 and I was in the car on the way to school. I remember because I immediately fell in love with the song and after that I listened to it on repeat for weeks.

This may sound crazy but there are actually Beatles songs that I have yet to listen to in their entirety, although they’re mostly songs that I’m not interested in, like Devil In Her Heart and A Taste Of Honey . Also, I haven’t listened to a lot of songs off Anthology, so I’m behind there, but I’ve listened to every single song off A Hard Day’s Night through Let It Be in it’s entirety at least once.

I love Devil In Her Heart .
I haven’t heard all of the Live At The BBC and Anthology stuff, but I am a proud owner of the entire Beatles canon on CD. (Do you have any idea how many birthdays and Christmases it took me to build up my collection? ) So… there were several tracks on Past Masters that I hadn’t heard till I got the album. I believe they were Long Tall Sally , Slow Down , Bad Boy , Matchbox , and You Know My Name (Look Up The Number). The covers I could have lived without unperturbed, but I’m very glad I discovered YKMN.

I wonder what versions do you own, the 1987 CDs, the 2009 stereo versions, the 2009 mono versions, a mixture of 2 or more. What I recommend you do if you haven’t already is dump the CD’s to your computer and or smartphone for backup just in case something happens to them.

I have the 2009 Stereo Box, as well as the Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour 2009 stereo remaster separately which I purchased before I got the whole box set. Then I also have the The Beatles (Just disc 2) 1987 remaster.

I’m not big into CD’s but I think it’s better that you bought the whole box than buying them individually, you save money that way. I wonder, did you back up your CD’s on your computer because you should, you can even use Audacity and listen to just the left, right, and or center or you can boost the bass, there’s lots of fun things to do with The Beatles music, you could even make custom playlists or make alternate versions of albums and burn them to a blank disc or post them on the internet.

My dad’s collection consisted of the 1987 CDs for Sgt Pepper through Abbey Road ; the rest I collected, mostly the 2009 stereo versions, although I have the 1987 versions of the first two albums, both in mono. So, basically, a motley crew.
I have some of them backed up; I need to do the rest.

Happily married, healthy, and enjoying life, I suppose.
