Offline All all the Anthology discs are on http://www.thepiratebay.org but I don't encourage it. People get sued everyday in America by the RIAA, and I don't condone the stealing either. Especially for the best band of all time.

Hey Mr. Sun, if Santa doesn't come through, try looking at used CD stores in your area. When *you* buy it, they won't get any royalties, BUT they did when the discs were originally bought, and they should be less than $20, though how much less, I couldn't say. That's one other legal option. (Or save $20 — I don't know if that's easier said than done given your situation — and just buy them one at a time on a monthly or so basis?)
ETA: I may have just misread your post. If I did, never mind this.

I'd have to say it would have been Chicago. But I've been listening to The Beatles my whole life, so I can't say before I ever heard them. More like before I realized their music was the best in the universe.

I wonder if the fact I started this thread has made me immune to questioning. Because I don't think I've been asked more than one question! (Except, of course, for the ones directed at everyone.)
EDIT: I'd say my favorite band before the Beatles was INXS. Mind you, I don't know very much about them.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
