Spelling and grammar. Though with spell check, my spelling can “improve”. ahdn_paul_01

Inside in UK English, outside in US English.

In this case I think the American version makes more sense.

It depends on the case. If it’s a part of a quote or just a word (e.g. He’s a so-called ‘Beatles fan’.), I’ll put it outside. If it’s a full sentence quote, like: ‘I know how it goes, it’s when it comes.’ — it goes inside.

Yep, and there are also people who believe that the moon doesn’t exist.

Awesome site – very well written, gave me a good laugh. Haven’t seen a better parody of the actual loony sites.

Hmm – wait a minute; loony – lunatic – of the moon – must mean something ……

What are some things that you don’t enjoy doing, but are quite good at?

For me, I’ve never enjoyed making smoothies, but I sure can make a good one. a-hard-days-night-john-1 Which is why smoothie-making duties in the Silly house always fall upon me. ahdn_paul_01

I’m superb at procrastinating and waiting until the last possible moment before doing anything. Whats the point in doing it early when you can leave it for weeks and then get it done in a blind panic?

Math, planning events, and science. I think my problem with science is the fact that last year we could get away with doing literally nothing (class was a rodeo every day), and on lots of stuff we’re learning now came from last year, so I’m definitely screwed. Planning, well, I’m not much of a planner, but if I do, it turns out horrible

As for math, well, I haven’t been able to memorize any of my facts (adding, subtracting, ect) since I started learning it ahdn_paul_01

Things I’m bad at, and will always be: I’m bad at algebra, my brain just refuses to remember the rules, and if I was better at it, I’d be better at some of my favourite bits of computer science. I’m also bad at people but I expect that is a common problem 😀

Things I’m good at but hate: I’m good at customer service, but it can be incredibly hard at times.

Note: being bad at people but good at dealing with the public are not mutually exclusive, customer service is actually easier than being real, unfortunately.

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

There will be about 45,000 reasons why that’s very true. People can be very difficult to deal with.

There are reasons why I fell into it and learnt to do it, but geez I’d rather not a-hard-days-night-ringo-13. Half my brain likes helping people, the other half is screaming at them to go away, so it’s a wonder I don’t explode.

I’m with you here. I’ve been in customer service for years. On the one hand I enjoy it a lot. I like how it’s not the same day after day. But yes, it can be hard and have its challenges some days. I’m not a big “people person”, so I have to work at it more than someone who is more “people” oriented.
