To those of you for whom, like myself, it is still 31 December: how are you ringing in the Goo Year? In bed floating upstream, watching a ball drop and hundreds of people in NYC go troppo, or other?
I shall be in bed with headphones having a Beatley/Georgey/Pink Floyd marathon, I think. Or possibly asleep– we’ll see…

1. Pink Lemonade. Because regular lemonade is too mainstream
I’ll bring Irish red lemonade- it is a common-told myth that it’s banned everywhere but Ireland because of its dodgy dye- which is a lie. It just never caught on abroad.
I can get the rest of the drinks easily enough (in 2 months when I’m 18 that is) and for the cider fans, I’ll bring Bulmers (or Magners for all of ye non-Irish people).
The two best countries to have it would be either the U.S or England- as it’d be easy enough for all of the Europeans to get to England- we should just have a simultaneous tea-party in the U.S and England- hosted by the appropriate mods on each side of the Atlantic. So mmm (and we’ll throw in Ron Nasty and fabfouremily for old times sake) for the European party and Zig and AG for the American.
We could Skype or whatever the latest technology in the field is. I’m sure if we had planned a year or two in advance, it could happen as people would have their work schedule sorted out and what not…..one can dream

All I did was listen to my playlist and browse the Internet. I didn’t watch the ball drop – I literally give no damns about it. Even when I’m not watching the ball drop, and once it drops, I can hear screaming and fireworks all ’round my neighborhood. Either the neighbors or somewhere else nearby

Or to be less ambitious, you could have a smaller party with like 5 members on Skype at the same time and see if you can get that to work before you do anything big.

You don’t need Skype. There are web based alternatives as long as you have a web cam. Example: Google has one.

Offline I’ve been on Skype and its ok; nowadays we use viber as its easier, you can’t video chat but you get free phone calls to mobiles and can send messages to groups of people.
