(I have.)
No. Would take too long to find them.

Sometimes I do. Well, only really if I look at my first posts I put on that thread.

I might have to – it’s illegal to get rid of them here even though they are a major pest; so you have to move them out of your house, find out how they get in, and plug the gap.
As I will be leaving here in 3 weeks I might leave that for the new owners to enjoy (they have been a bit difficult and deserve a nice gift) and just put up with no sleep for a while – like so many folks here seem to.

Why? Are they on the Australian version of the Endangered Species Act?
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

“Why? Are they on the Australian version of the Endangered Species Act?”
@Necko No – they are ridiculously common. There is a “Nature Conservation Act” in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) which protects just about every native pest we have here. Truly annoying.

Are you going to buy the 1 deluxe edition that’s coming out?
(I’m not. I’m gonna skip this one. I already have all the music on it. In fact, I never bought the original 2000 version of 1 either. I’ve already seen all the promo videos and would probably never watch them anyway. I don’t own a Blu-Ray player. Etc., etc.)

I am for sure. I basically want all of the videos in one collection on one DVD – I don’t do the Blu-Ray thing either…yet. But to see/hear all of the vids on my surround sound system is something I am looking forward to. The CD and the book will just be gravy.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Yes – really looking forward to the remixes, haven’t seen all of the videos and looking forward to the refurb on the ones I have etc etc
One problem will be the loss of the surround sound system when I move house. I may need to look at alternatives.

@ewe2, what sort of bass do you play? (I don’t mean musical style– I can figure that out myself 😀 — I mean what make, model, etc.)

Well you asked, @Beatlebug:
I have 4 basses actually! 2 playable, and 2 unplayable. First unplayable is a red copy of a headless Steinberg-style bass but in wood by Riverhead. I keep it in hopes to fix it because it’s a rare design and I played a lot of gigs with it. Second unplayable, a cheap brown 4-string fretless bass (Stagg BC300FL) in bits at the moment, and frankly I’ll probably throw it away, it would probably need as much money to fix as it was to buy. Then I have a black 5-string XB125 Washburn active bass, and my favourite, a cream 4-string G&L SB-2 Tribute, which is the one I play mostly now, I give the Washburn a run if I need the lower B string. The SB-2 has a PJ pickup set up with two volume knobs and no tone knob, which is a bit different. It sounds like everything between a Precision sound to a Jazz and even a bit of MusicMan. And the pickups are the loudest I’ve ever heard, it’s easily as strong as an active bass (with a battery) but it’s a passive! The Washburn is an excellent 5-string bass to play; I’m not so excited about the pickups, they’re a bit muddy without some EQ.
So that’s my gearhead rant about basses 😀 If I were to buy another bass it would definitely be a G&L, the Tributes are incredibly built for Indonesian work, and the US ones would be even better because they’re more customizable. I need to play around with their guitars too, I’d like a good electric to work with.
Gearhead additional: I use ghs pressurewounds on the SB-2 to give it a more fundamental tone, it can be a very bright-sounding bass still and I can get more of that Beatley midrange flumpf.

BeatlebugI'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
