Thank you the further wishes since my last post! I’ve decided to go with @Martha ‘s suggestion of Gerald! It’s not rather old yet, but it’s a good guitar! Although I do like @sir walter raleigh ‘s suggestion of Ana Lee The Healer (perhaps I should name my acoustic/classical guitar that. )
Nice picture of Brian too!

Hey @SgtPeppersBulldog, I made you a thingy!
I decided to try something new, and although it can’t top Silly Girl’s masterpiece, I sure hope you like it. And it could have been worse.
Sidenote: Ah, darn! I missed the guitar-christening! I was going to suggest ‘Pepper’ or some variation of it, because pepper is black (of course) and it also ties into your username. And, y’know, it’s cute.

Yay, I’m very happy to hear you liked the name! I wish you lots of fun and joy with Gerald- with trying out all the things you can do on an electric guitar and with finally being able to play all the songs which contain an electric guitar part properly!

Happy Birthday , Roger Waters!
I’ll leave the clever Pink Floyd reference/pun to Silly Girl but thank you for all the great basslines! Especially for the ones in Echoes and Shine On you Crazy Diamond they make me want to be a bassist every time I hear them!

I’m sorry I missed sending you a birthday greeting @Martha However I did think of you (and @Beatlebug too) when I attended the local Kennel Club competition the other night.

Aww, thank you so much @sigh butterfly! You made my day!
And a really great drawing once again, @Beatlebug! I love how you captured Roger’s weird cuteness if you know what I mean.

Hehe, thanks @Martha, I know exactly what you mean.
Believe it or not, I haven’t done many portraits of Roger, but I have drawn him freehand a lot, so I’m pretty familiar with his weird cuteness — which is probably why that one came out so well.

Happy 50th Birthday to BBC Radio One, oh, and BBC Radio Two.
Radio One in the ’80s, the late, great John Peel nightly, was such a huge part of my music education. So many things I heard for the first time on Peel’s eclectic and challenging show.
Here’s the very first show on Radio One, from 7am on 30 September 1967:

Funny you should say, I’ve been discovering a lot about Peel recently* (I mentioned him briefly on the PFS forum) and his shows. Of course, you wouldn’t have had them (or Kenny Everett’s early stuff either) if it weren’t for this wonderful station. Happy Birthday , BBC Radio 1!
*most interestingly, I share the same birthday as he did – August 30th!
