Offline I’ve been watching Twin Peaks for the first time lately, so I’m currently obsessed with a few pieces from the soundtrack, particularly the theme tune and ‘Dance of the Dream Man’.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Offline The Fall really are the kind of group who’s music you can’t stand at first and then two weeks later find yourself completely obsessed with. Something about Mark E. Smith’s style has me completely hooked right now.
Also, I just learned from the Youtube comments that they played this at their Motown Records audition… unbeatable.

……yeah…..I still enjoy Hex and “The Classical”, but *that* one lyric is really cringeworthy. It was questionable even in 1982, and pretty indefensible nowadays. There were better ways to be provocative.
Probably still my favourite Def Leppard song…I dunno, just something irresistibly catchy about it

Offline Have been loving Si Tu Vois Ma Mère from the lush opening sequence of Midnight in Paris. Perfect easy Sunday listening.
The rest of the film is not actually as good as this initial 3 minutes imo. Big ideas executed with some beautiful cinematography, but all spoiled by unrelatable characters and wooden dialogue.
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple
of days
