…and of course, the band got signed to a major label the next year, and were basically ordered against their wishes to make a promo video for their next single. So they did this
Best video ever Didn’t they do this for like 2 more videos as well?
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I have been playing quite a bit of video games recently, so lately I have been playing this particular song here from the quintessential Portal 2 (2011) puzzle game:
Composed by Jonathan Coulton and sung by Ellen McLain (who is, I should add, a professionally trained opera singer), this song is played as the credits at the end of the game. It’s sung in a sarcastic way, but by playing the game the player would understand the almost sentimental under-tone layered beneath the sarcasm.
Side note: I do recommend this game quite a lot, as it is very fun and challenging for both novices and veterans alike (though I doubt the latter hasn’t played this game). I don’t suppose there is a thread to talk about video games? Also the song does contain mild spoilers.
We do a little trolling

Not a specific song per se, but I’m rather obsessed with Mongolian folk-metal and Mongolian and Tuvan throat-singing at the moment. It’s fabulously weird- and badass-sounding.

“Cathy’s Clown” has been stuck in my head for days. I love the song but it’s driving me insane. One moment I’m reading my book, the next I can’t focus on anything but the song just starts playing in my head and then I’m like: “well shoot guess I gotta listen to it.” Stupid Don and Phil Everley with their incredibly catchy harmonies and tunes.

Fun It by Queen won’t leave my head, and I just got Don’t Stop Me Now out of it too. Terrible. But also amazing because they are both fabulous songs.

This solo Don Everly tune is way too catchy. Have been listening to it repeatedly for the past week or two now!
I’d also recommend the track called February 15th from this album. Some real George style Indian influence comes in after the first minute I think a lot of you would enjoy.
