Had quite a nice moment yesterday where Blow Away randomly popped into my head on my walk home from college whilst looking up at the cloudy sky. I hadn’t listened to it in a while so here I am enjoying it all over again

Funny you should say that, CakeMaestor, as I’ve had Bowie’s original stuck in my head all day.

All this talk of the 2000 remixes of the John Lennon albums and religion in Beatles songs has got my ears yearing for this audio experience.

Christmas is only more than a month away, so I am currently in quite the Christmas mood. Just thought I’d share one of my favorite adaptions of one of my favorite hymns.
This is “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” performed by the Oxford Trinity Choir

Great choice. John’s demos are better than finished works, he just needed his voice!

I extend my deepest sympathies, Fiddy. Maybe get this in your head instead?
I’m kinda digging Robert Plant’s cover of ‘Monkey’ by Low right now:

@Beatlebug I was expecting you to post the link to his Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby instead. I’ll admit that is one of my favourite Christmas songs.
I just posted what I was listening to at the time, which led me onto a ‘Sunday’ and ‘Heathen (The Rays)’ (David Bowie) kick because… oops of course it did

Also came across this today (I wanted some jazz for a fictional character whose birthday I decided it was) and I dig it

Good one @CakeMaestor. Me, personally, I really love ‘Blackout’ from that album.

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourites, too. It’s so futuristic, and you can really hear the Kraftwerk influence.

Beatlebug, WeepingAtlasCedarsI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
