The 3rd preview of Dylan’s upcoming volume of the Bootleg Series, Traveling Thru 1967-1969. The first from the Dylan-Cash Nashville Skyline session, and it’s a Bobby original gifted to Johnny (it became one of Johnny’s many theme songs). This is believed to be the only version with Dylan on vocals, and has never leaked:
It’s a nice loose version, and I like how Johnny starts playing with the lyrics when he trips up, managing to work in Duluth (Dylan’s birthplace) and Hibbing (where Dylan grew up).

Driving Rain isn’t Paul’s best album, but some of the songs on there I enjoy. This is one of them.

I’m really feeling these two songs lately…
Led Zeppelin – ‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’ (because it is my own damn fault)
and
Radiohead – ‘Just’ (because I do it to myself, I do – and that’s why it really hurts)
…thank goodness for relatable music getting me through life things

When I get into a Johnny Cash listening session, always drawn back to this Nine Inch Nails cover, his last major work before his death, and I rarely make it through the video without at least a tear in the eye…
I pop the video in, and wow… Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps… Wow. [I felt like] I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn’t mine anymore… It really made me think about how powerful music is as a medium and art form. I wrote some words and music in my bedroom as a way of staying sane, about a bleak and desperate place I was in, totally isolated and alone. [Somehow] that winds up reinterpreted by a music legend from a radically different era/genre and still retains sincerity and meaning – different, but every bit as pure. – Trent Reznor
Then I discover Bowie and Nine Inch Nails performing it…
And am also big on Tori Amos doing Led Zeppelin at the moment…

I have been listening to The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s “Are You Experienced” quite a lot recently, and the title track is probably my favorite Jimi Hendrix song for the time being. I really like the train chugging-like effect that Hendrix produces on his guitar, and that solo of his in the middle during the bridge between the second and third stanzas is just oozing with trippy-ness.
Unfortunately, I could not find the song on Youtube. But I would definately recommend checking it out on Spotify for anyone who has not heard it yet (although I’m sure everyone has on this forum had at one point).
The best quote to describe the song (and the album of the same name) is the following: “Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful.”

@CakeMaestor BIG Hendrix fan here!!! Speaking of Jimi, I’ve been on a big “If 6 Was 9” kick recently. Here’s a snippet off of YouTube:

I mean usually people listen to songs, but I guess that’s the way deaf people have to experience any type of sound.
Currently in on the below Paul songs

It was quite the rainy day when I woke up this morning, and my head decided to play Led Zeppelin’s “The Rain Song”. Probably my favorite Zeppelin song alongside “When the Levee Breaks”.
This song is a prime example of the Beatles being history-shapers, as this song would not have come to fruition if it wasn’t for George Harrison .

Rain Song is one of my favourites by Zeppelin too. The guitar playing is sublime
