I’ve been listening to Pretty Girl Why by Buffalo Springfield many many times over the last few days and I slept to it last night. Gorgeous song. Maybe when I tire of it a little I’ll check out the rest of their discography.
I give the album Buffalo Springfield Again a full endorsement. Listen all the way through you won’t be disappointed

Beating the mods here to respond to @SgtPeppersBulldog mentioning Daytime Nighttime Suffering. I was on a mountain biking trip to colorado maybe six years ago, and this song was stuck in my head for the entire ten day trip. Every second I was riding I was singing it to myself over and over again. Man what a great song. The harmonies are just fantastic.

Been on a bit of a Rob Thomas kick as of late, especially Real World, which I used to think was just called ‘Rainmaker’ when my parents put it on my birthday CDs.

Written by a member of the Bluebells and a member of Bananarama. I know which band recorded the better version, do you?

Led Zeppelin – ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’, because I’ve been learning it
and
David Bowie – ‘Slow Burn’, because Heathen decided, after two listens, that this would be the track I would be obsessed with

I’d like to add ‘Afraid‘ and ‘Heathen (The Rays)’ to this list, I dare you to watch this without getting emotional:

Von BonteeI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Wowie. What a suspenseful intro and what an amazing song, I’m becoming lowkey obsessed with it. Also, I’m now in love with Gail Ann Dorsey.

It’s super cool to watch Gerry Leonard fiddle with his looper (especially as a guitarist), but what’s really moving is watching David highkey trying not to cry his eyes out it’s an amazing song about mortality and meaning and Gail Ann Dorsey is very crushworthy

This isn’t the kind of song I normally become obsessed with, but somehow it hooked me and now I’m listening to it over and over and over and over until my brain goes numb, because for some reason I can’t stop. When I finally come out of my room, I’m going to be very confused.
