I’ve been having ‘Cracked Actor’ (Bowie) and ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’ (Zeppelin) going through my head these past couple of days.

Lou Reed’s Satellite of Love has been in my head, particularly the piano line.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

That’s always a good song to have in your head. Really any Lou Reed that isn’t Metal Machine Music or Lulu

I’m one of those crazy psycho people who don’t mind putting on Metal Machine Music from time to time…

Such an amazing song, it gives me shivers every time. Check out the live version of Some Girls if you get the chance, without that dumb door closing effect you can really hear Marr’s guitar riff shine, and it’s really great.

Today I had ‘The Prettiest Star’ (by the Bowie of course, the prettiest star) going round my head, it was on repeat whilst I was taking my maths final (very nice ), and now YouTube’s lovely algorithm gave me the Stevie Riksified ‘Bowie and Bolan’ version.

That’s nice. I had Maxwell’s Silver Hammer stuck in my head for my entire math exam yesterday.

‘Pinball Wizard’ – The WhoLearning it for my band and got it heavily stuck in my head. I dig it.
I just practised it like 6 times in a row and now it’s very stuck in my head. .. . again
Good song, though, I don’t mind

Guess what guys! I have a Prince song in my head!! (The gasps of the entire universe trembles)
hahaha I had like three Bowiesongs stuck in my head whilst mowing the lawn this morning, to the surprise of no one ever
Not a particular song, but I’ve been digging the Reality era of Bowie lately, mostly the look he had going and the live tour stuff but also the album’s latter four or so songs. @50yearslate

Woohoo! I approve!!!
I’ve always preferred the first bit of the album myself, but you really can’t go wrong with any song on Reality. (also Bring Me The Disco King has never struck me as a particularly interesting song, I normally skip it.)
I’ve been on a Heathen kick lately, specifically I Would Be Your Slave and Slip Away.
Love one another.

*ceases to breathe*
That’s one of my favourites, second only to ‘Days’. OBSOIVE, YOUNG PADAWAN.
maybe you’re just not old enough to appreciate the jazz-piano groovitude of Mike Garson’s otherworldly fingers, or Bowie’s solemn face-off of death

BUT NEW KILLER STAR THOUGH

Perhaps. I actually haven’t heard it in, what, probably a month by now? I should relisten.
Love one another.

DO IT NOW. Macca says so
NKS is good, but it’s never been a huge favourite of mine — I liked it much better after seeing you get obsessed with it + the (new) killer (star) live version, but my favourites still have to be ‘Days’, ‘Fall Dog Bombs The Moon’, and ‘Bring Me The Disco King’.
