David Bowie – ‘Untitled No. 1‘
A beautiful little song that sounds like watching a spring day unfold and appreciating every little detail immensely, and yet knowing it’s all so transient. Buddha of suburbia, indeed.

Currently a mix of When The Night, Get On The Right Thing (both from Red Rose Speedway ) and CSN’s beautiful version (and now probably my favourite Beatles cover by anyone) of Blackbird . What a trio of songs!

”And I’ll forgive the liiiiiiieeees that I heard before when you gave me no reply.”
The Lennon Trilogy is perhaps my favourite start to any Beatles album. Tormented, edgy and extremely catchy songs.

I’m fortunate enough to be on a George kick, and I’m obsessed with What Is Life . It’s too perfect.

Currently obsessed with Run Of The Mill , Let It Down , and BOSFC (Let It Roll). Pretty much just playing them on repeat, all day. It doesn’t exactly make homework go faster, but what else can I do?

Throw in the rest of ATMP and you’ve described my afternoon perfectly.

He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Listening to “Moon Over Marin” rn (from the only DKs album I never owned!)
Also, I didn’t know Sonny Curtis recorded his own song until now. I think I like Fuller’s a bit more than the Clash’s.

As @vonbontee says above, @QuarryMan, it was written by Sonny Curtis of Buddy Holly fame in 1958, and was first recorded by the Crickets the following year when Curtis joined them following Buddy’s death, being released in 1960…

Ah, thank you @Ron Nasty . I had always thought it was a Clash original.

Learning it for my band and got it heavily stuck in my head. I dig it.

Have to admit that thumbnail made me jump when it loaded onto the page.

Oof, and it’s not even the right thumbnail… I meant to post the video for Soul Love but I guess copy & paste got confused? Oops…
Edit: OH WAIT NOW WRONG THREAD, I did mean to post Valentine’s Day, I thought this was the “what are you listening to right now” thread… sorry about that!
