That Talking Heads song is amazing, @Beatlebug ! The opening verse where he says “home is where I wanna be// pick me up and turn me round” is so sweet, and perfectly evokes the feeling of realising you have feelings for someone.

BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Vespertine has been my favourite Björk album for ages, but the closing song Unison only clicked recently. It’s so amazing

Hands Of Love from the Red Rose Speedway medley. I only ever used to listen to the medley for Hold Me Tight and move on, but today I decided to listen on and I found myself really loving this little ditty from Paul.

Anytime Beatlebug 😉
I heard Isn’t It A Pity yesterday morning and for some reason it put Jealous Guy in my head, where it has stayed.

And did you know David did a cover of that song on his Tonight album in 1984, @Beatlebug?
EDIT: Don’t worry, I’ve just seen your other post. As much as we love him, nothing indeed beats the original from my second favourite band.

I was just showing this song to a friend who was a Beatles fan but had never heard. Its such a perfect example to use when talking about how great of songwriters Lennon/McCartney were. Weren’t even worried about putting it onto one of their albums.

Been really diggin’ this one today. It’s very Beatley — Bowie stated it was supposed to be a Sixties-themed song and very Beatles-flavoured, and the remix, which removes the worst of the eighties soup, brings out that aspect.

Very very Buddy Holly like song. I wonder had Buddy lived and founded his own record label (i read somewhere that that was what he was trying to do when he moved to NY) if he had distributed them in the USA
