The whole of Iggy Pop/The Stooges’ Raw Power has been going round and round in my head, it’s a little bit maddening

@50yearslate if you think THAT is good, then you should listen to Pink Floyd. David Gilmour, who played that, was Pink Floyd’s guitarist for most of the years. He is my favourite guitarist of all time.

I can’t get Old Brown Shoe out of my head. I love the song but it’s been playing in my mind for the last 24 hours or so and I am starting to go slightly insane.

YES that exact same thing happened to me last summer!!!!!! I had to skip it for a couple of months bc it’s such an earworm. Now I quite like it.

I’ve been listening to some Talking Heads today, and it’s brought me back to this song:
And back. And back again. It’s one of their few not-so-abstract/arty/out there songs, more personal, and I feel it so much.
My favourite kind of love songs are the ones that have profound but very subtle blink-and-you’ll-miss-it sentiment that you could also stretch for use with a lifelong friend or family member (so: not sappy I wanna kiss you/hold yer hand stuff [with all love to I Want To Hold Your Hand , which is a classic fun pop song]), and this is one such. It’s also got an intriguing, pensive, oddly melancholic/nostalgic sound to it.
