Tiny Dancer by Elton John. What a masterpiece.
That ran through my head for 2 days. It **was** gone until I read this post.
Gotta play something to get it unstuck again.

All Those Years Ago. The best John tribute song, in my opinion. George absolutely nailed it.

‘Station to Station‘ – David Bowie (1976)
Ten minutes of coke- and Crowley-fueled brilliance. Dark, mystifying, psychologically questionable. Enthusiastically heartless. A great dance tune. And it’s ten minutes long!

I woke up with this song in my head. It’s been there pretty consistently ever since.
‘As The World Falls Down’ – David Bowie (Labyrinth soundtrack, 1986)

The Only Living Boy in New York. I like all the overdubbed harmonies once they get going. There’re so easy, you can make up your own to to add to theirs! The wiki version of the story behind it makes it sound like Paul Simon was really pissed off when he wrote it but I just think he wanted something to do while Art (Tom!) was off doing acting for ‘Catch 22’. Easy to play on the guitar too. Capo 4th fret G shape and you’re away.

Listened to Black Tie White noise for the first time yesterday, and I think this is my favourite so far. (Either this or ‘The Wedding Song’.) Something about the melancholy saxophone, in particular, speaks to me somehow… it sounds like I’ve heard it in a past life. As for the song itself it’s rather reminiscent of ‘What in the World’, one of my favourites from Low, so that’s good.
David Bowie – ‘Jump They Say’ (1993)

Aaaand now I’m on a ‘The Wedding‘/’The Wedding Song‘ kick.
I’m never gonna get married, but if I do, these are on the playlist!

Circles..a masterpiece…
The show goes round and round in circles………………………………….
As I go round and round in circles
Decide he was a swine
As you go round and round in circles
He who speaks does not know
And I go round in circles
Later they may become your best friend
As life it goes around in circles
He who speaks does not know
And I go round in circles
With life and death along the road the soul reincarnates
The show goes round and round in circles
Becomes the same, then we stop going in circles
Round and round in circles
