I've watched the Rooftop Concert a few times over the last couple days. Basically the entire “Let It Be … Naked” CD.
For a band breaking up, they sure as he** sounded awesome!

That reminds me of the Paul concert.
Paul: I've got a feeling, a feeling deep inside, oh yeah.
Me: I haven't heard this live before.
Polythene Dan: What? (It's really loud.)
Me: Never mind! I've heard it sort-of live — on the roof!
Polythene Dan: What, on YouTube?
Me: Yeah, but who cares?

I'm starting to get into Let It Be for the first time in forever. I like Dig A Pony , when they have the false start, and Ringo goes “hold it” and sprays what sounds like is perfume on himself. It's like that's the Beatles magic dust, and Ringo suddenly realized he didn't have his on, and right after he sprays it on they have one of their most incredible intros to any song ever.

I'll picture that in my mind frow now on everytime I listen to that. It's better than imagining adjusting his pants or something like that….

“Tomorrow Never Knows ” with eyes closed and earphones. Yes. Eyes closed is a requirement. It also helps to kind of not listen to the words, but the vocal. If you spend too much time figuring out the words, you miss out on the Leslie speaker effect.
EDIT: Also “If I Needed Someone .”

I've been listening to the Anthology version a lot recently and I'm trying to decide which I like better. The anthology one is just so weird, I think it's even weirder than the finished product. They should have put both on Revolver , one halfway through and one at the end.

I feel like I've been neglecting my lovely Beatles lately, what with all the Floyd and Zeppelin I've been listening to (it's almost Zeptember!), but this week I've really gotten a kick out of the cutesy early-ish stuff like “Like Dreamers Do ” and “Besame Mucho “. They're fun to sing along to.
I'm in love, but I'm lazy.

Free As A Bird . I think I listened to it about 53 times the other day. Very beautiful song.
Also, for all piano players, this song is a friggin must.

Is there anything better (or worse) than a song that's just embarrassingly catchy? I heard Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel on the way home from work, and there's just no way I won't be stuck with it all weekend.

See my above post.
"The best band? The Beatles. The most overrated band? The Beatles."

I think my recent Simon and Garfunkel obsession keeps putting me in the mood for Two of Us. I used to dislike the song a bit because that “you and me burning matches, lifting latches” line used to make me cringe, but the harmony in that song has to at least equal If I Fell .
