I love You’re Going To Lose That Girl uninhibitedly since watching the Help ! film on DVD for the first time a month or so ago. That sequence where they play it is unbelievable, and not even silly like the ones for Ticket To Ride or I Need You . That said, I also like I Need You a whole lot more since watching the film; meanwhile, my current obsession with YGtLTG (which I never used to like very much) is about to tip over into annoyance. The next one will probably off Beatles For Sale No Reply perhaps?

Old Brown Shoe , For You Blue ( love george’s voice in this and his amazing guitar skills!) Abbey Road medley, especially Golden Slumbers , Martha My Dear , Girl and Mother natures son. Mainly Paul and george’s a-hard-days-night-ringo-4 I just really like the lyrical melody of Golden Slumbers , For You Blue , mother natures son and girl(as well as johns singing in girl). Abbey Road medley is just an really great variety of tunes. The Old Brown Shoe just has great guitar riffs I think, and always puts me in a good mood a-hard-days-night-george-9

as for not beatles songs maybe this is a low by blur in parklife and wonderwall by oasis

Right now i could listen to Yesterday 20 times and not be fed up in the slightest; currently Take 1 is on, take 2 (kind of an outfake but since take 2 was just Paul and his guitar…) to finish and then the final version. Probably because im tired and feel like absolute crap so fits my frame of mind and its quiet. Listened to the Martin orchestral YS stuff simply because it not loud, more soothing.

Lately Hello, Goodbye : I’m not even listening to it that much, but I can’t get it out of my head. It’s becoming a bit annoying!

At the moment I like listening to Rubber Soul + Revolver together (when there’s time).

Every Little Thing and Old Brown Shoe . Don’t even know why, but lately I have the urge to listen to those songs very often.

For some reason, Sexy Sadie . I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I used to dislike it, but now that I’ve listened to it more, I like it and want to listen to it.

Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

The bassline from “Saw Her Standing There.” Just the bassline, can’t get it out of my head.

It’s All Too Much , in the last days, I can’t really say why. Not the best song, but I find it strangely fascinating.

That is the last song I heard this morning before leaving the house for work. It will be in my head until I get home.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I’m not really “on a kick of” it, but I currently can’t seem to get “You’re Gonna Lose That Girl” out of my head – a not entirely pleasurable feeling, ’cause that one’s never been a real favourite! It always struck me as just a more obvious retread of “She Loves You ” lyrically, without the crashing excitement of that one. But for some reason (even though I haven’t played Help ! in five days) the song’s unusual touches – that non-stop lead bongo commentary and Greek-chorus backing vocals – won’t leave me alone this morning, and I’m finding it not-unpleasant. So that’s, uh, something. (But I still wish I had a song I liked better stuck in my head instead!)

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I’ve had ‘Whatever Gets You Thru The Night ‘ going round in my head these last few days. Maybe it´s a sign, as life gets a little tough (as it often does), it´s like John is a voice inside my head telling me to keep strong.

One way I am not perhaps a bonafide “Beatles fan” is that I don’t listen to the Beatles — like one does with normal music.  The entire Beatles oeuvre is like a giant chest of old but beautiful jewels.  Each of the many jewels is a Beatles song.  Now And Then , I open up the chest, look at all the glittering gold & silver, all the rubies and diamonds and emeralds and amethysts, and I pick one particular amulet out to look more closely at it and enjoy it.  Then I put it back in the chest, close the lid and take the ladder back down from the attic to get on with the rest of my day.

Often several days — occasionally even weeks — may pass before I have a desire to go back up into the attic and take out another jewel to contemplate.

Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

It’s now this one for me too. I like the horns in it. I like the whole chorus. The verses are a bit week though but it’s still very catchy

Suicide/Let’s Love/All Of You/I’ll Give You A Ring, from One Hand Clapping

I don’t understand why we didn’t get these songs as bonus tracks for the Band On The Run deluxe set. We got all these other songs from One Hand Clapping that I could do just the same without. Also, I like this version of Suicide way better than whatever one was in the McCartney set.

Been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin lately, particularly ‘Ramble On’ and ‘Travelling Riverside Blues’.

Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now by The Smiths.
