And rest in piece to Neil Peart, legendary drummer of Rush. I have never been particularly fond of their music, but Peart’s talent, originality and inspiration on thousands of young drummers will not be forgotten

This is a huge loss, of a remarkable individual, and I’m gonna watch old Yotube videos for the next hour+ , “2112” and “Xanadu” and others. It’s still mindblowing how three guys could create such a huge SOUND on wax, and reproduce it over and over again live, verbatim. It’s a joy just watching their hands! Watching Peart play a difficult extended part in “Xanadu”, with like a half-bar rest in the middle; and instead of resting, he flips his stick skyward and catches it just in time! And repeats the trick when the part is repeated. Whatta showman! 
Again, a huge loss, for music and literature and Canada and the world.
RIP Neil Peart; the afterlife just got a lot more thunderous.

Offline Poor Terry J, we can’t say it was unexpected and this year was probably going to be ‘the year’ but it’s sad to have lost him this early. I always liked Mike’s updates on him whenever he visited his house and they’d inevitably go for walks together, which is very sweet.
He was always the perfect woman and had one of the finest arses to ever grace television screens across the world.
RIP you doddery old idiot x.

Cleese is an ass but the rest of them I always follow and keep up with the work they’re doing (I’m going to see Don Quixote in the cinema soon because 1) FINALLY and 2) I’m just happy Terry G finally got to finish it). I have a book signed by Michael Palin and I cried when I got it, I just love that man so much.
