That’s very sad to hear, Rambling Man is such a great song and to know that both Duane and Greg are dead is terrible.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Brother Duane had to persuade Wilson Pickett into recording Hey Jude in 1968 as it had recently been such a huge hit.  Listening to it today, it sounds like a welcoming home.  “You’re (or I’m) waiting for someone to perform with”.

It’s not the least bit unexpected, but sad nonetheless.

Dickey Betts wrote Ramblin Man. Notable Greg contributions include Dreams, Whipping Post, Midnight Rider, and Melissa. A great organist and songwriter with an amazing voice, he will truly be missed.

Gregg has been laid to rest in his hometown Macon Ga. next to his brother and musical partner Duane. Original Allman Bros. bassist Berry Oakley is also in the same graveyard, along with Elizabeth Reed who has an Allman Brothers song named after her.

Classy move of Dickey Betts coming to the funeral to honor Gregg. Whatever it was that drove them apart, I hope they eventually found peace with one another.

It has been announced that actor Peter Sallis died 2 June aged 96.

The only actor to appear in all 295 episodes of BBC sitcom Last of the Summer Wine, he was perhaps best known as the voice of Wallace in the Wallace and Gromit animations.

RIP.

Woah! Didn’t think he was still alive! Not only was he great as Wallace, but he also played the ex-hangman bartender in The New Statesman alongside Rik Mayall. R.I.P. Peter apple01heart

Also the voice of Mayor Adam West on Family Guy. I love that voice. Iconic.

Something tells me that Stan Lee is going to die soon but in the meantime, let’s remember Adam West.

I remember I used to watch Batman when it aired on ITV4 a few years ago. The 60s Batman was (and in a way, still is) surprisingly my favourite incarnation of the character. R.I.P. Adam apple01heart

I recommend watching the episode of Batman The Animated Series: The Grey Ghost.

The basic plot is that there is a copycat killer blowing up building in Gotham in the same way a villian did on an episode of The Grey Ghost, a superhero show that Bruce watched a a child. Adam West voices The Grey Ghost during flashbacks, and the actor who played him later on, who Batman enlists to help stop the killer. It is actually really great voice acting. Filled with emotion.

R.I.P Adam West.

He was the reason I fell in love with Batman when I was a little kid and I have loved Batman ever since.
