RIP Erin Moran. She played RIchie’s annoying kid sister in Happy Days, and inevitably grew up at which point everyone had guilty crushes on her and frankly I still don’t get what she saw in Chachi.

The actor Geoffrey Bayldon died yesterday (10 May) at the age of 93.
For a generation of kids who grew up watching kids TV in the UK in the ’70s and early ’80s, he will be fondly remembered as Catweazle in the series of the same name, and the Crowman in Worzel Gummidge, while he famously turned own the role of Doctor Who twice (offered the role before William Hartnell in 1963, and turning it down again when approached again in 1966).
There is also a Beatles connection, in that he plays the waiter in this scene from the Ringo Starr -directed 1972 Apple Film on Marc Bolan, Born to Boogie…
RIP Albert Geoffrey Bayldon.

That’s unfortunate, although it makes me wonder if this guy dislikes Doctor Who because it seems very odd that he’d turn down the role twice, the first one can be understood because he may not have known that the show was going to be successful but to reject the role of a successful character on a successful show a second time while the show was at it’s peak is very strange. Also, if you want a better Beatles connection, the guy was born on January 7th, 1924, 4 days after Mona Best who was both the mother of Pete Best and the father of Neil Aspinall’s child Roag Best, which is weird but let’s not get carried away.

Chris Cornell, the dynamic vocalist and guitarist whose versatile showmanship as Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog’s frontman was a signpost of the grunge era, died of an apparent suicide Wednesday night. He was 52.
Police received a 911 call at approximately 12 a.m. from a family friend, according to Michael Woody, Director of Media Relations for the Detroit Police Department. When the friend went to Cornell’s hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit to check on him, he “made it inside the hotel room, where he found Mr. Cornell unresponsive laying on the bathroom floor,” according to Woody. EMS pronounced Cornell dead at the scene.
Detroit police are investigating the death as an apparent suicide, though Woody tells Rolling Stone that an official cause of death by the medical examiner’s office is still forthcoming. The medical examiner’s report is expected to be released Thursday afternoon.
Earlier on Wednesday, the singer had played a show with Soundgarden, who were midway through their tour. “His wife, Vicky, and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause,” his publicist said in a statement.
Cornell’s peers and influences posted numerous tributes to the singer-guitarist on social media. “A shining voice in music has left us in the midnight,” Perry Farrell tweeted. “He was a complex and gentle soul. Chris Cornell has flown into the black hole sun.”
Jimmy Page called the singer “Incredibly talented. Incredibly young. Incredibly missed,” Elton John wrote, “Shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Chris Cornell. A great singer, songwriter and the loveliest man.”
Cornell’s artistry was marked by his impressive multi-octave vocal range and displayed a rare sensitivity within heavy music. With Soundgarden, he could shift between raging metal declarations (“Jesus Christ Pose”), somber mood pieces (“Fell on Black Days”) and psychedelia (“Black Hole Sun”) with ease.
I saw him perform twice, once with Soundgarden (2014) and once as a solo artist (2016). Here is from the time I saw him as a solo artist.

It’s sad that he had to go, I wonder if the members from grunge bands such as Nirvana, Alice In Chains , Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and of course Soundgarden will say anything about him. I guess sometimes when you have a burden in your hand, the black hole sun won’t wash the rain away and the rooster will be stopped and will no longer be alive, there’s no blooming for Chris now.

R.I.P Chris Cornell. I love Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Audioslave, as well as the solo stuff.
I’m glad I got to see Soundgarden live because seeing that voice live was one of the best live performances I have ever seen.
A true talent that will be missed.

Last night my school’s orchestra had a concert, and their second to last song was a James Bond medley that included The James Bond Theme, For Your Eyes Only, Live And Let Die (which is what my friend used to get me to go to the concert), and Goldfinger(which isn’t a Moore Bond theme). It was a bit haunting considering that they had planned to do the song wayyy before Moore’s death.

‘Live And Let Die ‘ is easily the best Bond film. The carnival scenes are brilliant.

The crocodile scene is my favorite in the movie, and Jane Seymour is one of the most beautiful Bond girls as Solitaire. Still, I prefer a couple movies over it, including Goldfinger, Thunderball, and Casino Royale.
