RIP Alexis (nee Robert) Arquette, transgender activist and one of the Arquette clan of acting siblings.

Alexis passed of an undisclosed illness, surrounded by family and loved ones. Richmond Arquette made this statement on Facebook:

“Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am. He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie’s Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.”

Alexis had a long career, appearing on television and in such films as Pulp Fiction, The Wedding Singer, She’s All That, and Spun. Most recently (in 2014) appearing in Adam Sandler’s Blended

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Also, very sad to hear the news of Jose Fernandez. He was a Major League Baseball player, a pitcher for the Miami Marlins. He died in a boating accident on Sunday morning at the age of 24.

It’s emerged in the last few days that Leggy Mountbatton’s teaching job in Australia has come to an end.

The actor Terence Bayler passed on 2 August at the age of 86. He was also known for roles in other Python projects, Doctor Who, and the Bloody Baron in the first Harry Potter.

Loved the trousers, did Leggy. It’s sad to think he’s no longer hopping around Australia.

RIP, Terence.

@Joe , @meanmistermustard , @Ahhh Girl and fellow Fab Forum members:

I am deeply saddened to inform you that our friend and fellow Forum member Matt Busby has passed away. On Facebook, his wife informed us today that he died on 7 October. The cause was not listed. He was 53.

From the outpouring of FB posts from family and friends it is apparent he was loved and respected by many. All of us who have read his posts here in the Forum know that he was incredibly friendly, open, honest and had a deep affection for The Beatles. He attended many Fab Festivals and always shared those experiences with us. It comforts me a little to know that he finally got to see Paul McCartney this past summer. Now, he will be with John, the Georges, Brian, Mal, et al.

On a personal note, he and I shared many PM’s and had great conversations about The Beatles, the Forum, family and life. I affectionately referred to him as “old man” because he was only a few months older than I. Then, on my birthday, he would return the “old man” barb right back at me. My heart aches over the loss of our beautiful friend.

“And in the end…the love you take is equal to the love you make”. He will take a lot. Please join me in saying goodbye.

Dang, he’ll never get to Seattle. He was a great guy, very sweet this was his first post on the Back up forum

Lol@u annadog! I just figured I’d come here to bookmark it in case of emergencies, and saw your post (funny, but imo you’re at least up with the best of them 🙂

He was creative and caring, one of his last posts on the forum was this

@HongKongLady twittered:

The time sooo fast I’m almost 3months here in Australia, me and trc we have to a separate honeymoon because I’m going back to Philippines next week,

Doesn’t the marriage let you stay in Australia? (or maybe you need to go back to at least clean up your affairs?). There’s a reality show here in the states called 90 Day Fiance, because if you marry an American citizen you get to stay in the country, so there’s 5 couples who found mates in other countries. The catch is, once the potential mate is in the country you have 90 days to get married or they have to leave.

Regardless, I hope you don’t have to be apart long!

I remember he worked on a project for the What Is Life video contest.

He died too soon.

This is got to suck for his wife and kids, as I wouldn’t be surprised if his wife lunges at a couple people at random like I did when my wife passed. To think he was born in 1963, the same year as me, and he’s dead. On another note, is this the first time a forum member has passed.

The first time we know of at least, wonder how many of the one post members or ones that dropped off the forum are now dead.

I asked a while back about if you died would the forum know about it. I’m sad to say that in the case of Matt Busby that we are able to know for sure.
