That exactly how I noticed that. One page that I’m a fan of on Facebook re-posted that and I saw people pointing it out in the comments.

I don’t use FB much but I’m forever being thrown off by someone commenting on, or re-posting, something ancient and it comes up looking all fresh and new.

I was afraid to click on this thread.
@Necko, thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures of Sandi. She is probably running around and playing with my dear departed Ginger.
Deepest sympathies from my family to yours.

So sorry to hear about Sandi, Necko.
Some of you might remember my neighbour’s dog, Coco, the chocolate brown labrador who liked ‘Hey Bulldog ‘. Well she died a couple of days ago so Sandi, Ginger and Coco are now running around in the great dog park in the sky.

Sorry you had to go thru that @Necko and that you and your family have lost a gorgeous pet and friend. Take comfort in what you did what was best for Sandi long term.

^^ This is what I x-posted at the news thread.
Incredibly sad news. Cynthia Lennon has passed away. Julian posted a tribute.
Cynthia Lennon passed away today at her home in Mallorca, Spain following a short but brave battle with cancer.
Her son Julian Lennon was at her bedside throughout. The family are thankful for your prayers.
Please respect their privacy at this difficult time.
I’m kind of in shock. Someone posted a YouTube video in her memory on FB, and I thought it was a cruel and tasteless April Fool’s prank, and then I saw Julian’s post.
If you have a chance to read John, you’ll know her for the beautiful lady she was. Rest in peace, Cynthia.

Its occurred to me that cancer has taken too many Beatle people. Off the top of my head George, Linda, Maureen and now Cynthia.
I guess it’s taken too many people period.

There’s been an interesting miniseries about the search for a cancer cure on PBS the last couple nights. So many different approaches…for awhile they were giving such high doses of chemo to patients that the drugs themselves were killing 1 in 10. For awhile surgery was the end all and be all treatment. The gold standard treatment for leukemia now is chemo that kills all your white blood cells and then a marrow transplant so you make new, different wbc’s. And if the transplant isn’t rejected, it seems to have pretty good success…at least compared to 50 years ago when it was one of the deadliest cancers (and one that often strikes children). Sometimes science considers cancer one umbrella disease, sometimes lots of individual (related) diseases. You can probably view the show yourself at http://www.pbs.org eventually – they put all (I think) of their shows up there after a certain period of time.
Not that this contradicts your point – just if it’s something you’re interested in, they really have made a lot of progress – but still have a lot to go. I’ve lost a couple relatives to it myself My mom had a large benign tumor around and within her optic nerve – miraculously they got every cancerous cell, that was in 1988 and she has had no reoccurence.

I don’t have TV, but I saw a sneak peak of the film (they sometimes do that for PBS shows if you sign up at ovee.com) and it was at once maddening and enlightening.
