Aw, damn, RIP dude. I’ll play some of your records when I get home tonight in tribute. (Much rather watch Nimoy’s 1967 “Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” video than any of the LOTR movies)

I wouldn’t go that far, but it is an entertaining video.
You can’t get much more Summer of Love 60s than that one.

Yeah, just heard the news from some co-workers. As mmm said above, the man never shied away from mocking himself. He was without question, an entertainment icon and will be missed.
R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy.

Yeah, it’s charming! (The whole “Rings” saga just mostly bored me, sorry.) Curiously, that version of the song is slightly different from the version I know (from the Nimoy-Shatner “Spaced Out” dual compilation)

I just read it here. Leonard Nimoy… part of me is going away with him. One of the truly great ones that never got all the recognition he deserved, despite his popularity. I’m sad, very sad.
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

The NY Times reports that Albert Maysles, who made the documentary What’s Happening! The Beatles in the USA with his brother David, has passed away.
I was honored to have the chance to hear him speak last year during the 50th anniversary celebrations. Rest in peace.

Ringo paid tribute to him:
“Albert Maysles was a beautiful human being. The many times I hung out with him it was always a pleasure,” his statement said. “He was a pioneer of his time, even for a short man. He will be missed. God bless him. Peace & Love, Ringo”
