My condolences, too, ASJ. Pets are family, and that is indeed heartbreaking.

That’s horrible ASJ. Losing pets, or beloved animals, is always difficult. At least Jim won’t have to deal with having seizures anymore. That paw thing just seems so cute, very sad. Hope the owners are doing well.

It’s a middle-aged couple who owned him- all their children are grown up and live away from the town. My Dad was talking to the husband yesterday and I think they’re doing alright.

Actress Carol Ann Susi, most recently known as the unseen voice of Howard’s mother on The Big Bang Theory, has passed away at age 62. In this CNN article, she was described as;
“a force of nature who didn’t suffer fools and was fiercely loyal to her friends.”
Does that sound like four people we all love?
RIP, Carol Ann.

This man lost his wife during an emergency C-section to save their baby boy, named “Lennon”… here he is singing “Blackbird ” to his little baby boy.
He died a few days later.
Rest in Peace Ashley and ittle Lennon. Positive thoughts to your daddy.

A tragedy. This man, he lost both his wife and his son within a few days. Can you imagine the pain? I don’t want to.

It would be so hard to go on from that kind of tragedy. I have mountains of respect to people that go though these things and carry on with their lives, because they are strong and they simply have to.
I’m only 31 and I already dread the day of living without even just my spouse. I keep telling him that he has to outlive me because he’s stronger than I am. I’m afraid of outliving him by like 30 years.

Yep, it’s awful beyond words. I just tweeted this but wasn’t really sure how I felt about putting someone’s very personal moment on social media. Everyone else seems to be though. I hope the father/husband is going to be OK.

That’s such a sad story, both losing your wife and your baby. Completely heartbreaking! Definitely needed a few tissues while watching that.
Just like LHL said, I have a lot of respect and admiration for people who have the strength to carry on with their lives after such horrible events took place. I can’t imagine how much pain this man must have. This will leave a big scar and will follow him for the rest of his life, of course.
Rest in peace, Ashley and Lennon.

Oh yeah, while I’m posting here. My neighbour from across the street has died Tuesday evening. So weird, we met her cleaning lady in town that afternoon and she told us our neighbour was sleeping and felt good, and a few hours later she died. She was 93 though. I had known her for 16 years, since we started living here. She was an amazing woman, she still did gymnastics, cycled and drove her car until 2 years ago. She was a really sweet and cool woman, who was always interested in what we were up to and was always there to support us. She was loved by everyone and rightly so. She couldn’t walk really well anymore and the plan was that she would go to a nursing home, she would get the key yesterday but it was too late..she died pretty sudden. I was absolutely devastated when my brother rang me to tell me, I just couldn’t believe it. The house next to her is still empty since the last owner died last year. Now two houses will be empty and that will be weird.
Rest in peace ”Rieks”

I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, Linde.
Rest in peace, director Mike Nichols.
“In a triumphant career that spanned over six decades, Mike created some of the most iconic works of American film, television and theater—an astonishing canon ranging from The Graduate, Working Girl and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf to Closer, Charlie Wilson’s War, Annie, Spamalot, The Birdcage and Angels in America,” Goldston wrote. “He was a true visionary, winning the highest honors in the arts for his work as a director, writer, producer and comic and was one of a tiny few to win the EGOT—an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.”
