^^ I just realized that town name is used as a code word in Barbarella.

Can you even imagine the signs? ”Welcome to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllandysiliogogogoch” or the postcards saying ”greetings from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllandysiliogogogoch”? Could you imagine getting a postcard like that?

Loved the song btw, lol.

The sign would be larger than the town. It would have to read “Now entering/leaving Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllandysiliogogogoc”.

The web says, translated, it means “Church of St Mary in the hollow of the white hazel trees, near the fierce whirlpool and the Church of St Tysilio, by a red cave”. One could imagine oneself in the hollow of the white hazel trees jamming out to Pink Floyd’s ‘Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict’.

That reminds me of one of those horrorfilms which takes place in a forest.

I don’t think this girl ever gets the credit she deserves. She’s not your typical lip syncing pop star. She is phenomenal LIVE! She sings a different song request, usually a cover song, at every concert stop on tour. This night she chose to sing a Beatles song and I think, nailed it.

I was at a party last night, and someone played for us this video, based on the idea of a student writing a book report for To Kill a Mockingbird, and it’s clear he only read the first chapter.

It’s 12 minutes long + credits, but it actually gets funnier as it goes on. I have a feeling @Starr Shine? will appreciate it.

Afterward, I said that my only hope is that someone sent this to Harper Lee.

^ That was amazing! I remember writing fake essays about books we never read with my friends.

I never had to read to Kill a mocking bird for class due to a scheduling thing and first saw it as a play.

I think the fact that she’s a pop singer and got famous because of American Idol makes people dis her, but this video shows her great voice as well as her personality.  She’s come a long way in what, 14 years?

Just learned about a British webseries called Ackee & Saltfish. This one cracked me up. Substitute any of my music fandoms and blood would be drawn.

More here.

I found a YouTube channel where a guy points out everything wrong with certain movies or music videos. The one on 300 is one of the funniest takedowns I’ve seen.

I’m watching a short (27-minute) documentary on film preservation. It’s really well-done. If you have half an hour to kill, I recommend it.
