To be fair, I think the main reason that he shouldn’t be charged is the 2nd one. Also, would you guys have a problem if he was proven innocent or sent to a locked facility instead of prison or placed in solitary confinement.

If he’s innocent then he obviously shouldn’t go to prison. If found guilty he should be sentenced in the same way as anyone else who committed the same crime.

Offline I would have a huge problem if he were innocent. It would show how easy it is to lie about rape and get somebody arrested. Although I believe these women are telling the truth and that Bill Cosby is a rapist.

Offline It’s time for a new topic.
Earlier in this thread, we mentioned what we thought about abortion and it seemed like a split, some of us including myself are against it and others seemed to support it, but let’s take it one step further.
What do you guys think about partial birth abortions?
I personally think they’re even worse than a regular abortion. Although I am against abortion, I can understand why women would want to do it, such as not wanting to carry a baby from a rape or not wanting to have to go through the pain, but I can’t understand why this is even a thing. By the way, a partial birth abortion is when a baby is ready to be released from the womb, as normal, but instead they puncture it’s skull and stick a vacuum up there which removes it’s brain, therefore crushing the skull and killing the baby before it can be fully born, my source. Sometimes this fails, so they let the baby be born alive and then just leave it to die, here’s another source where someone mentions that she held a survivor only for it to die 45 minutes later.

To be honest with you, just the idea of this is sickening and creepy as hell, I think it’s a damn good thing George Bush singed that act which made this illegal here in the United States. If you decide to go through with having a baby only to decide at the last minute that you don’t want it, please just sign it up to adoption instead or give it to a friend who wants a baby, don’t kill it.

Offline Interesting how the comic calls it a baby and not fetus despite the fact that it was never born.
I say take it out but don’t kill it so it has a chance. TBH problems like these can be reduced with better birth control awareness and safer sex practices. Abstinence + and all that.

Also, I agree that we should encourage people to practice safe sex and to use birth control, as well as have better sex ed classes and to tell people that it’s ok not to abstain from sex until after marriage.

I hope you know that partial-birth/dilation and extraction is very rarely performed with only 0.17% of abortions being done this way? Many PB/DaE abortions occur because birth defects are discovered (approx. at 20 weeks).
The percentage of women who get PB/DaE abortions simply because they don’t want a child would be considerably low as PB/DaE abortions are very expensive and complicated to perform.

Offline First of all, I didn’t say the word pro life once in my sentence. Also, there’s a difference between having an abortion and eating a ham sandwich and I think it’s perfectly acceptable to be morally against abortion but also believe that it’s ok to kill someone in self defense and or to eat meat. I personally am morally against war and don’t have a problem with welfare programs, although I’m not a vegetarian because I like to eat meat and just as many animals will be killed if I am a vegetarian as compared to if I’m not, so there’s no point in becoming a vegetarian to me.

To be fair, this comic seems like it was done by someone who is against abortion, so wants the viewer to have a negative opinion. Also, it’s a very graphic procedure, even if they used the words place and take instead of jam and grab, I still think it would give the viewer a negative view of the procedure.

So my child is going to be crippled or mentally retarded, I wouldn’t want my baby to die just because I found out late into my pregnancy that my child is going to have cerebral palsy.
