The postal services around the world.
As you may have noticed I’ve ordered a “few” classical CDs of late from around the globe. Some have arrived on time, some are late, some seem to have vanished into the ether (otherwise known as the Italian Post Office).
Some arrive before items posted long before them which leads to worries about the possible loss of the earlier item.
I currently have one item pending a refund and Amazon France ‘investigating’ with DHL where another one has gone. Even a refund is annoying as the item was on sale and isn’t any more and I may not be able to replace it.

The Highway Code as it is the bane of my existence when learning to drive.
I have to abide at all times by its silly, stupid, idiotic, pointless rules and laws which are just a nuisance whilst most other drivers totally ignore them.
Additionally the number of drivers who should be rounded up and squished to pop is ridiculous. Every time i go out I come across at least 4 drivers who do something dangerous on the road, for example overtaking when approaching a bend/roundabout, pulling out when a car is oncoming or sitting counting their body hairs or whatever other banal pastime when they are meant to go. The light is green you numpty – DRIVE!! Don’t sit there making me wonder what i’m meant to do.

I despise glitter. Wherever it is in the room it will find you and stick to your skin. I’ve hated it ever since it somehow managed to get in the corn flakes for breakfast at a party

You should like this one @meanmistermustard – the lady in front of me with the huge trolley of shopping suddenly announcing part way through the checkout “oh, I don’t think I have enough on me to pay for all this, I’ll have to pop to the car and get some more money”.
And does. And we wait, and wait, until she returned.
Mind-boggling on SO many levels.

Someone has managed to add to the ‘taking far too long at a cash line/ATM’ art of annoyance by immediately afterwards standing having a chat with the person behind them even tho the individual waiting obviously wanted to get a move on.I don’t queue in the freezing cold to witness such behaviour

Glitter is one of the most annoying things in the world. Once, my friend was sleeping over my house, and she was playing with blue glitter, and it got all over the black carpet floor. It blends in so well, I forget it’s there most of the time. That is why I barely enter that room unless I’m fully covered like there’s a snowstorm with 5 feet of snow

Migration rip-offs.
HKL has to go and have her photo and fingerprints taken again tomorrow for her latest tourist visa application – even though she had it done last November as part of her December visa. She has the same passport so they know it’s her – but of course there is a significant fee for the “service” and the local processing office no doubt makes a tidy profit each time they have it done.

YESSSSSS
A couple years ago Little Girl went through this stage of using glitter in her play, and it somehow got mixed with glue and got all over the kitchen table and… I was months scrubbing glitter off the table.

It was more a case of lingering residue every time I wiped the table, which would get into the morning cornflakes and everything else.
Pet peeve: the whole Sherlock-Holmes-and-Irene-Adler thing. He never had romantic notions toward her. Got it? Good.

No since one doesn’t have a name.
Would you wanna trade places with her? Did Irene have grandchildren?

I bet this has already been mentioned before, but I’m going to mention this anyways. The sound of nails on a chalkboard. Today, a kid in my science class was playing with the materials with our lab, and started rubbing it against the table. It made that exact sound of nails on a chalkboard. I was about to scream at that kid, but the teacher beat me to it
I swear, if someone makes that noise near me for even a second, I’m probably going to yell “STOP IT!!!” while everyone stares at me because of it (I don’t respond very loudly to criticism, so I wouldn’t be surprised for them). I swear, that’s the one noise that can tick me off within a few seconds

He did have a name– Wilhelm Gottfried Ormstein or something like that. And no. Also no.
Edit: I was close. The king’s given name was actually Wilhelm Gottsreich Sigismond von Ornstein. Bit of a mouthful, eh?
