People telling me to tan. Sorry, I got whatever pale European skin I have. You don’t think I have tried to tan in the 25 years of my life where it’s really humid and sunny when it isn’t raining?! I burn or freckle. Sorry I do not want skin cancer. I’ll stick to being pale as a ghost (ghost is my nickname).

[SNIP] The time before i had to drink Earl Grey which is quite remarkable in managing to be so revolting; this time it was Scottish Blend which is fine until you get the aftertaste. How folk can settle for such filth is beyond all rhyme and reason. blue-meanieblue-meanie

Earl Grey is my favourite tea by a long stretch. Do you have it black or with milk? I imagine it would be pretty awful if the latter.

I had it with milk having had it black before. Made no difference. I’m just a devoted Tetley drinker, that my problem (i’m hoping one day that if i say Tetley enough somone working there will see it and send me a few crates of their teabags).

One stupid thing i did was with my first ever purchase of some fruit flavoured tea (cranberry and raspberry or variation). I put milk in it. Ever since i was like 5 milk went in tea so i threw it in not giving it any thought. A friend i was with stopped me drinking it jut in time and the establishment gave me a free replacement. a-hard-days-night-ringo-13

Ya, I ran out Milk & Sugar once camping and never looked back.  Now I mostly drink Green Tea for the convenience!

Having to suffer through a 30 minute meeting about something that could have been handled with the person in charge just sending out a simple email.

You are a tea snob as I am an IPA snob. Ever since I started treating myself to this liquid delight, all other beers and ales taste horrible. It’s got to the point where I pick restaurants based on their selection of draft ales.

And good for you for thinking of skin cancer at such a young age. The older you will thank you some day.

Can’t stand it when people bring up silly arguments you had months ago. We talked it through back then. We made up. You had the chance to say everything you wanted to say. Why bring it up again months later? It’s way too hot to be annoyed and to argueblue-meanie

I watched that clip 3 times trying to wrap my head around the idea that those people I was seeing were The Beatles.

People who instantly think of John Lennon when you tell them you like the Beatles. I had a conversation the other day that went like this:

Person: What sort of music do you like?

Me: (points to Beatles t-shirt I’m wearing) This sort

Person: Oh, the Beatles! And do you like John Lennon too?

Me: (inwardly)a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Person: Or are you a just Beatles person?

Me: (politely, but thinking, Another Lennoniser) Well, I’m mostly a Beatles person, but (somewhat pointedly) I also like some of George Harrison ‘s solo stuff. George is my favourite. (to the sky) LuvyaGeorge.

After I said that last bit, I wished I hadn’t…

Why, did he answer back and say “Shut up”?

Just kidding.

I like that John Lennon fellow.

She wasn’t a he. I should have mentioned that. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14 More a patronising mummy type who try to be ‘friendly’ by asking five questions about you and what you like, and making assumptions therefrom.

Okay, I’m being a bit hard on that innocent lady… I just get a bit irked when people act like John Lennon is THE BEATLE. As if the others didn’t also have successful solo careers. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

I suppose this stems from a couple of larger, broader pet peeves:

1. THERE IS MORE TO THE BEATLES THAN JOHN LENNON, HEY  JUDE/YESTERDAY/LET IT BE, AND IMAGINE, PEOPLE (and anyway, the three actual Beatles songs are Paul songs. a-hard-days-night-john-1 )

2. People who runaround, and worry me, and wonder why they don’t get me, they don’t get MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

For years and years, people would stop and ask John for his autograph and tell him how much they loved his song, “Yesterday .” It would really make him mad.

So I’ve heard. I can see why it would irk him.

Where is his famed sense of humour? Surely the ‘correct’ response is “Thanks, I hope you liked Michelle as well”  🙂

Or John could have said, “Hey, if you like ‘Yesterday ‘, you’re really gonna like my new song, ‘Another Day ‘…”
