It has struck again, while revising geomorphic regions I saw “The Burren receives several hundred thousand visitors each year”- THAT ISN’T SPECIFIC, IF I WANT MARKS IT NEEDS TO BE SPECIFIC!
Even their official website says “several hundred thousand”- ffs!
I’m thinking of emailing them for the number of visitors they had last year…

Offline  Spelling mistakes, now I’ve no problem with them online as the majority of people are typing fast and don’t really give a flying f—
However, I’ve noticed a good few in my Irish book which is a pain in the arse- I spot the majority of them but I don’t communicate through Irish enough that my spelling and grammar (Irish written grammar is a b**ch worse than French or German) is flawless.
It’s especially difficult for students who aren’t that great at languages and would think the misspelling was the correct spelling take this:
I’ve seen:
cáilÃn (wrong). It’s meant to be cailÃn (those little marks make all the difference I tell ye!)
átá (You couldn’t even pronounce that one properly as the vowels sounds are too long awwwwwwtawwwwww).

Also add to the fact that I have to do dramatic techniques in Irish. Who cares about flashbacks?
 I mean well done for keeping students interested in Irish, Department of Education ye eejits!Â
Also add exams- I don’t want to learn about soils. I don’t plan on becoming a farmer

Offline ^ It’s partly because we don’t have typesetters around much (if at all) these days – they used to pick up a lot of mistakes that made it past editors or sub-editors.

I actually think The Kinks were the best band of the 60’s.
Way more underground than The Beatles, I mean, The Beatles were trying to be like The Kinks but they failed massively.
Also I can play guitar better than Hendrix, I mean *snort* anyone who knows 3 chords on the guitar can play better than Hendrix

I think the Hendrix joke works much better than the Kinks one; they were VERY good in the 60s.
