^That was my first reaction to it. Some of the first pictures I seen threw me off. Not because of homosexuality, but because it is written/drawn about real people. Particularly one whom is deceased. However, now I take it as a what if and find it a bit amusing.
Pictures like this:

She was referring to the art though, not the fan fiction…
To each their own I guess. I don’t necessarily believe it happened, but I do enjoy the idea of it. I don’t find it offensive that someone could have **gasp** been gay, no matter how unlikely. What those two had was beautiful, no matter what it was. Only they know.
There is also a lot of beautiful fan art that isn’t “racy” at all. If you wanna see it you have to be able to handle the other stuff, ESPECIALLY on tumblr! Fiona Fu, the best of them all IMO, makes amazing stuff. Lots of it is racy, but some is totally tame like this:
Got the design for my Beatles tattoo from her artwork. John is from this ^^ exact picture.
Sorry I should probably I just wanted to say that piece.

People writing rouge when what they mean is rogue.
What if the rogue wave was in the Red Sea? Wouldn’t that make it a rouge rogue wave?
Q: What happened when the Blue Smurf fell in the Read Sea?
A:
He was marooned.

Who writes “1th”?
Lots of people in gaming circles and a recently released very popular video game has it for placings in competitive multi-player, reference also Urban Dictionary.

Can you be marooned in the sea? You can be marooned at sea but it generally entails being on a boat, island or some such location. And where is the “read sea”?
Yes i’m being pedantic but i feel in a pedantic mood.

Help me out. Is it “anal-retentive” or “anal retentive”? I can never remember whether or not to use the hyphen.

@LongHairedLady Very excited because I just got a signed copy of JP Kenwood’s Dominus in the mail, which is not John/Paul per se, but the two main characters are based on them, and Fiona did the beautiful cover.
As well as JPK’s adorable logo:

Sorry but i don’t get this. They use “1th” because they don’t know any better?!! Learn for feck sake, its not difficult to work out. And what the heck is a video game doing incorporating it into their game?

I guess they were hoping to be ‘edgy’ – or maybe they like being completely utterly and totally lame. Oneth. What next?
