The US government’s hesitance to give people stimulus checks.
Regardless of how you think we should’ve responded to the pandemic, i think we can all agree that since the government had to stop us from working in order to prevent the spread of this disease, the government should compensate by making sure everyone gets money so they can pay the bills. EXCEPT for American politicians, that is. Fortunately, we were able to get a bill with $600 stimulus checks in there, which isn’t enough but earlier revisions didn’t have anything at all. Yet despite your average person getting literal crumbs, there’s sections in this nearly 6K page bill for horseracing, climate change, vaping, copyright, the Dalia Lama, and other things that are completely unrelated to COVID.
Why can’t we have a basic 1 page bill that gives people the stimulus checks they desperately need.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Trump is now proposing the stimulus money be raised to $2000, and Pelosi has agreed. Let’s hope the cartoonish-ly evil McConnell decides to act.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Breaking news interrupting TV programming. I just want to watch my program. Listen: we live in the 2020s. If we really wanted right-up-to-the-minute news on subjects we cared about, we’d go on the Internet. It’s really not fair to the viewers that they won’t see their program because the station assumes they care about some brand new story. Sure, these interruptions served a purpose in the past, as TV was the only way to get brand new stories like these then, but those days are over. Just let me watch my damn show.

Older people may not have the internet; furthermore,I know that’s not your fault. A lot of them prefer the old ways and not “new” technology.

My peeve is when the news media (internet/newspaper/tv) reports: “Omg somebody got covid after they got the vaccine or omg they had a side effect!”
1. They possibly contracted it before they got the vaccine. 2. It’s only one dose of the vaccine, so it’s not fully effective.
3. Side effects can happen with ANY vaccine. The majority who have had reactions to this vaccine have had reactions to other vaccines/medications. One lady fainted because she can’t handle pain. But again, she stated this happens to her.
As my dad says no news is bad news, bad news is good news. Meaning sensations sell and happy news doesn’t sell (or not as easy).

BBC Scotland cut the daily updates on BBC1 Scotland and moved them online. There were massive amounts of complaints as so many of the elderly and those with needs are at home and for many reasons, one being ease of finding it, it came back within days. There are so many people where using the internet, if they even have it, is incredibly difficult so it’s not as simple as just going on there for the details. Live TV and Radio has shown itself to be an incredibly important medium during the pandemic. The BBC, which has been battered for years, has become one of the first places people are going for the latest updates and shown how valuable it is for the UK.

The people that work at this Record/CD store. It’s one of only 3 decent ones in my town, and its selection ends up being the best (although it’s gone downhill since I moved here).
The people that work there can be pretty rude. Last week I went to the store and was gonna pick up a copy Live At The BBC 1994 which is in one of those double CD cases(pictured below) that Anthology and the old White Album are in where both sides function like the back of a single CD case, and the booklet is usually kept inside.
So I’ve looked at getting the 1994 BBC here multiple times but none of them have had the booklet. So there was a new copy there and I took it to the front. They wrap all their used CDs in cellophane so you have to go to the front to check the inside. I got up there and asked to check the inside, and as the guy began removing the plastic I made a comment that I wanted to make sure it had the booklet. The guy looked at me, and in the smuggest way possible said, “Well the cover is here and that’s the same thing as the booklet.” I was at a loss for words because I didn’t expect him to say something so stupid. However, he opened the case and the booklet was missing, so I said, “Oh! looks like the booklet isn’t there,” and walked straight out of the store empty-handed.

People can be complete arses over the most minor things possible.
Those who simply have to ensure all the boxes are ticked and every rule is maintained to the very last drop of ink regardless of how pointless, petty and pathetic they can it can be. Obviously some rules have to be maintained but at times some can and should be overlooked.

big pet peeve of mine is when you’re eating something, not expecting there to be raisins, then sure enough! there they are
I feel that way but about chocolate chips. If it’s not a chocolate chip cooke, they don’t belong.

I knew someone who, in every post and message they’d make on Facebook, would capitalize every word
drove me up the wall
i can only imagine how pompous they must have sounded
honestly, I just thought it made them look dumb
