^fair enough. Also damn a circular saw :O we aren’t allowed to use that unless we are over 18
We just have to sign waivers and promise our TD that we’ll be safe!

We have tech contracts we have to sign but I don’t think the director would believe our promises of safety… yesterday was Strike Day and we broke SO MUCH STUFF loading things back into the woodshed…

You have a woodshed. We just have all our wood stacked in crates or neat piles backstage near the fly. We have absolutely no storage because the school refuses to help pay for it and we barely have the funds to pay for it ourselves while still being able to budget our shows. We put all our stuff backstage and then move whatever we don’t need during the show into the nearby wrestling room and then move it back during the strike (Extra stuff, though, we store at the community theater and we did a giant costume cleanse this year where we got rid of a bunch of old costumes that our customer deemed useless and then reorganized it all into a space that the janitors let us have)
Our director and technical director trust us with all the construction stuff. Our tech crew is completely student-run so we kinda have to be experienced, prepared, and trustworthy.

Honestly, that sounds better. Most of the stuff in the woodshed is unusable and it’s filled to the brim so if you want to get to the back you have the climb over mountains of precariously stacked and spiky wood. Also, taking things out and putting them away is a HUGE pain.
Our crew is also student-run but the theater teacher helps us with cutting and things sometimes.

I’m going to murder my brother. He’s gone out tonight (presumably to a pub or a house party). Selfish prick. I’m going stopping him from visiting our Granddad now because he’s in his mid-80s and has shallow breathing. If he caught this it could kill him and I’m not having him getting infected by my f*****g idiot of a brother who can’t stay in the bloody house for a weekend. If he wants to go out he can stay in the town he works in and wait until he gets infected and just not bother coming home until he’s better. Don’t come back to our little hometown. He also works with a lovely lass who went off to Cheltenham so that’s nice. Ripe petri dish his workplace will be.
I was talking to our local doctor’s son today and he was saying that no one in our clinic has tested positive for it and my other brother who works in the local hospital says no one else has it either but it’s only a matter of time. We’re up 40 cases today and a 2nd death.
I am not amused.

I brushed my hair and tied it up. Being a curly-haired person, brushing your hair is generally not a good idea.
My scalp hurts.
I should have known it wouldn’t be a good idea.

Episodes of crime shows/films which rely on the twins twist for the murderer(s), one episode of the original ‘CSI’ had the added twist of triplets. To me it comes across as plain lazy and contrived. Even worse is when they film scenes with the actor playing both roles and you see plenty back of the head shots.

Been there. May you gain an opportunity to wash it soon.

Cardboard/paper sleeves. I was just looking at my Sgt. Pepper ‘s Super Deluxe Edition, and when I slid the box back into the sleeve, I accidentally tore one of the bottom corners a little bit.

Today I was braiding my hair but I forgot that I have a lot of layers in my hair and so there was a lot of little pieces sticking out of the braid due to the shorter layers not being able to reach and be uniform within the braid.

^every single day that happens and I don’t even have layers, my hair is just a nightmare that way. Also it tends to stick up in the front, which makes no sense and looks ridiculous but I can’t do anything about it until the weather dries out.

I also am a fan of a jewel case, makes my CD shelves more defined and I’m able to tell more easily which CD is which from the side. Cardboard cases always get scuffed after a while no matter how delicate you are with them.

YES! The case for Reality snapped completely in half the first time I opened it and something like half of my jewel cases are cracked or damaged in some way. I would have no problem with them if they weren’t so damn fragile.

Yeah, I guess they can be fragile sometimes, which is a downside. BUT, if one does break, you can always take it apart, take out the booklet and back cover, and transfer them to a replacement case. On the contrary, with a cardboard sleeve, you’ve either got to try and tape it, repair it some other way, or flat out get a whole new copy of the album.

I dunno, I don’t seem to have nearly the problems with cardboard sleeves as I do with jewel cases. Maybe that’s just me
