I’m just scared that when and if we do get a vaccine, anti-vaxxers will ruin it for everyone
I hate anti-vaxxers
I know some anti-vaxxers personally. They’re nice people, but daft when it comes to their logic against vaccines.

We’ve had 2 cases so far, both in Dublin. The rest of the country are currently considering putting up a wall around Dublin to contain the Dubs the virus. I support it.
Our government still hasn’t cancelled the main St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin yet because they’re idiots and are thinking more about the money they’ll get from tourists and visitors than the health and well-being of us poor skins who’ll have to deal with whatever the overseas visitors bring over in their masses. We postponed it for foot and mouth disease in 2001, which didn’t even bloody affect humans but our government is doing a “duh huh let’s see if it spreads” approach.
Idiots.

Bee Gee is safe, she’s in India. Her dog is still in China though 🙁
As for having cases in nearby counties, I’ve lost count of how many Californian counties have cases/are in states of emergency. I’m trying very hard not to freak out about it and succeeding a little bit.

Wait , how big are your counties? Little proportional to your states, or little proportional to UK counties?

Here is a county map of Pennsylvania (my home state) and the county map of Georgia (where Bebu is) for reference on the size and quantity counties are, @QuarryMan
Also here’s a map of the U.S. with all the county lines drawn in, which might be a little more helpful.

I can’t see you US counties map.
Here’s one.
England county map
What are those darker shaded areas within some of the larger areas? West Riding and Lancashire have a lot of them.
For comparison, Lancashire is 1,187 mi². The county where I grew up is 497 mi².
The largest county in the US is San Bernadino, California (20,105 mi²).
England is (50,337 mi²). Wales (20,767 mi²) is just a bit larger than San Bernadino County. Scotland is 78,775 mi².

@lovelyritametermaid close but no cigar. I’m not in Georgia, I just have family there. I’m in North Carolina:
(I have this on my wall, I’m not a nerd )
Remember that the US is unimaginably massive compared to the UK, so they’re not really equivalent. I meant that our counties are smaller relative to the size of the states and country but also culturally; English counties function culturally almost like mini states (e.g. “Where are you from?” “I’m from Lancashire.” In the US we’d almost never state our county of origin, even if we were talking to a fellow statesman in a different part of the state; we’d far more likely say the town or nearest metropolitan area).

US counties, in terms of the UK, need to be thought of as boroughs and parishes.
My toe also hurts. Big toe on the right foot. Has done for about three weeks. My right foot also seems more swollen than usual, and the shoe feels tight. Maybe something wrong with my toe.

^ 🙁 Mine is my second on my left foot. I damaged that nail on both feet as a 10 year old (never do mock pointe moves without pointe shoes on, kids. It’s not worth it), and it’ll always look weird.

I think most of us would still use the town name, but yeah, culturally our counties do seem to correspond to states. Most counties have their own accent, dialect and sometimes even language.

I’m not sure what the darker areas are; I’ll try and find out. Also interesting that the map has Cumberland and Westmorland labelled separately, nowadays they’re just known as Cumbria.

I’m wanting to complete (or, at the very least, grow) my collection of Animal Crossing amiibo cards, but the damned things are getting more and more elusive, as they’re no longer being produced, and are so expensive. The only real choices I think I have are to buy whatever packs are left on Amazon for about 15-40 bucks a piece (two to five times the original price, and I’ll likely get a bunch of doubles that I won’t need) or to buy the cards I need individually (which I’ve seen, depending on the card, range from about 3-25 dollars apiece). Even worse is, because the new game coming out on the 20th supports them, their price and scarcity will likely only increase even more…
