Let’s get this page back on topic by discussing something that pisses me off. Here’s one, people who try to limit constitutional rights, most notably ones from the first amendment. The four that come to mind are verbal threats, the boy cried wolf scenario, public obscenity, and prank calls. While the first 2 can be dangerous, the latter 2 are harmless and I should have the legal right to go up on live TV and call Barack Obama a cocksucking piece of s**t and I should have the legal right to prank call someone.

Yeah, prank calls are great.
When those two Australian radio presenters pranked the nurses at the hospital the Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William’s wife) was in to do with her first pregnancy, into believing they were the Queen and the Prince of Wales to get information about her medical condition, and one of the two nurses that had been fooled hung herself three days later, I laughed my arse off. So fecking funny.
Trouble with prank calls is you can never be sure of the aftermath.
And you now seem to have an incoming President who’s totally in favour of free speech except when media organisations criticise him. In his press conference yesterday he even attacked the BBC, one of the most respected broadcasters in the world, while lumping CNN, who carefully went through the report that emerged yesterday and redacted much, with Buzzfeed, who didn’t.
How strange it must be to have an incoming President who attacks the freedom of the press, the intelligence community he will have to rely on, while applauding the Russians for saying there was no truth in the accusations they had blackmail material on him (as if they’d say anything else if it was true, and I’m not suggesting it is).

You actually DON’T like the double thank glitch, I love it and want to see how many thanks I can give to a single post.
Oh my, I thought someone overtook me in the multithanks leaderboard for a second. I don’t think anyone has beaten my high score of 5 yet.
Anyway anyway anyway at all, while we’re back on the topic of pet peeves, one of mine is people who tailgate me while I’m driving. I especially hate it when they could easily pass me if not going fast enough for them. Sorry that I’m obeying the law and not going over the speed limit. If you are close enough to a car that you can no longer see their tires, you are wayyyy to close. This really just scares me, because I’m afraid that one of these days I’m going to stop at a red light, and the guy riding my bumper is going to slam right into me. If someone is tailgating me and can easily pass me, I’ve started taking my foot off the gas and just gradually slowing until the guy passes me. In long run that’s probably the safer route.

Maybe if they are tailgating you and the other lane is clear, you could move over, wait for them to pass, then go back to your lane.

I see your logic there, but I shouldn’t have to do that…. people shouldn’t tailgate, it’s rude. Its probably my number 1 pet peeve.

Ya but to antagonize a tailgater is a bad idea. You have no control over them so it is best to do what you can to prevent danger.

That’s not prank calling, prank calling is when you call up a pizza place and tell them that you’re looking to rent a VHS tape, that’s obtaining information under false pretenses.

Of course he’s going to be pissed off at any criticism against him, he’s the president for god sake, but all he’s doing is bitching and complaining about it, he doesn’t have any plans to reprimand people for s**t-talking him. Also, I know this may offend some (and to those few I say get a life), but I was actually happy when Trump won and have a wave of sympathy for him because even though he won fair and square, many people were angered by this and actually rioted (http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/09/…..n-streets/). It’s funny because Hillary supposedly cheated during the election by rigging the polls and using an earpiece during debates.

Here’s 2 that really piss me off, although be warned that 1 may offend some people. The first one is copyright, it was fine when it was 28 years with a renewal to make it 56 years, but the fact that there are still silent films under copyright although the man who made them is dead, that’s just bullshit and there even are some complicated cases of films that are both in and out of the public domain, such as It’s A Wonderful Life or early Bugs Bunny shorts and there even films that have left the public domain.
Only open if you don’t get offended easily, I warned you:
The second one is modern day feminism. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with equal rights between males and females and I don’t think that women have to be relegated to cooking, cleaning, and f***ing while the man does everything else if they don’t want to, but I don’t get why a lot of women complain about small things like getting paid slightly less than men or about how damsel in distress stories or porn is sexist, here’s an example of a modern day feminist (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Sarkeesian).

Except the problem is that there’s laws preventing it and when it does happen, it’s a coincidence or there’s a legitimate reason behind it, such as the male being more qualified or if the male is doing a better quality job than the female. Also, we don’t have to use spoilers any more.

Says who? What a dreadful excuse for pay differences between gender.

Google play has ‘Two of us Sunday driving’ in Two of Us. Google play is just generally very wrong.
@HMBeatlesfan, I must agree with you. An example that I hate is women saying they want equal rights, then saying ‘women first’ in a que. That ain’t equal rights, that’s biased towards one gender.
But I must say now before I’m killed, I’m completely behind equal rights. In fact, I’m an activist for it at school.

That really pisses me off as well when women complain about equal rights they already have, yet I bet they would also complain if a male didn’t hold the door for them, like as if they’re saying “we want equal rights…(unless if we got it better than men)”. At the very least, they shouldn’t bitch about when males tell them what they’re doing is stupid. Sorry if I offended any women on this forum, just understand that you females do have equal rights. You can vote, drive, get a proper job, not be a housewife, be gay, own land, and hell, even join the military.

Here’s a fresh one, right off the press, that pisses me off, people who want to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Don’t get me wrong, I am fine with legalizing weed for medical reasons. However, I think that anything that gets you high should not be legal without a prescription from a doctor (high and intoxicated are 2 different things) and if they legalize marijuana, they’ll be more vulnerable to legalizing cocaine, heroin, acid, meth, etc., so I say just stick to tobacco.

I agree with HMB in that women feminists need to stop complaining about wanting equal rights, but then wanting to be unequal to their advantage. They want only the good things about being a stereotypical man as well as only the good things of being a stereotypical woman. However, as I’ve heard it said, this isn’t Hannah Montana, you can’t have the best of both worlds.
As far as the wage gap goes, it really doesn’t exist in the way that it is portrayed. The whole 75c to a dollar is taken from a total average of fulltime working male’s and female’s paychecks, and unless there can be half a kid, averages aren’t real. The real wage gap is actually like 1-2%(on average + ditto) between women and men in the same job.

It is more of a pay gape since the jobs women go to on average pay less.
However, I think that anything that gets you high should not be legal without a prescription from a doctor
High isn’t as bad as drunk. And prescription drugs are far more likely to get you hooked on illegal hard drugs than
marijuana.
What makes drunk better than high?
