A pet peeve of mine is when people say thank you before you do the task they requested you to do.

A pet peeve of mine is when strangers smile at me and say hi because then I have to do the same for them. It’s fine if I do it first, but I don’t like it when other people do it because then I don’t have a choice.
Another pet peeve of mine is when you smile at someone and say hi and the person only smiles back and doesn’t say anything.

Let me take the pettiness to a new level.
Why does every electronic thing nowadays have to vibrate? Seriously. Why is it an improvement to have every tablet and video game controller vibrate whenever you do anything? I’ve always found it annoying and completely unnecessary.

I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

I heartily agree. I turned the keyboard vibration off and my life is happier now.

Live in a cellar.
Honestly – if a bit of civility annoys people in this world – I don’t know what to say.
If it annoys you so much then just ignore them and don’t respond – they can tell their friends about how cold and uncaring the world is becoming – and they will probably be right. And yes, I would be one of those strangers annoying you – I smile and say hi all the time; I’m often ignored but sometimes a little elderly person will look up with shock, recover, then smile like a ray of sunshine and say “good day”.

I do it all the time too, and it doesn’t annoy me when I say it first unless I get ignored
The reason it annoys me is because oftentimes people say “hi, how are you?” as I am walking past them and they don’t stop walking so I just have to yell my response and I don’t really like yelling
Not responding isn’t really an option because it upsets me when I say hi to someone and they don’t respond so why would I do that to someone else?

I am surprised to find that forms of politeness and friendliness are listed here.
It pisses me off severely when folk are rude or discourteous when you are trying to be thoughtful or cheerful towards them. In my world 5 to 10 seconds is great and then its “you’re over stepping boundaries, GO AWAY!!”.

The one time Disney decide to do auditions in Dublin, I’m in Italy- goddammit!
That and I must have missed out on Leeds auditions (again) yesterday (the 20th) seeing as there is going to be London auditions today.
I wouldn’t mind except I’m finally old enough to audition for it
Ah dear, even though I have a job for the summer, I’d still love to work in Paris for the summer.

Completely agree. When I get any type of message, it has to vibrate and interrupt what I was busy doing. Sometimes I get an email, my phone vibrates, and I loose it.
Speaking of emails, a pet peeve of them is when you get wayyy too many useless emails a day. “Order a pizza for 15% off at Dominos!” “New clothes available until *insert random date here*” are some of the most annoying types. But then again, getting emailed by 10 colleges a day is probably worse

I may have said this one already, but it bears repeating.
People who can’t park between the lines in a parking lot/car park and thus hog two spaces. Hello, people. The lines are there for a reason. If you can’t park it, don’t drive it.
