While I love this site as my main Beatles fix each day – I’m just wondering if there are other forums folks post on or recommend?

For me – while the Beatles are top of my list I DO have a passion for around 8 other acts (there’s that number 9 again) so I have just created an account on the Steve Hoffman forums and have been pretty active in the music forum there for the last couple of days (and have run into one or two Biblers already).  You can spot me by the avatar and my forum name has the territory that Canberra is located in (oh, ok, it’s TonyACT).

If you do post over there with a different name / avatar – it would be great if you could reply here so I can spot my ‘mates’ over there (note – that bit of Oz usage is not exclusionary – it includes members of all 5 genders).

I post on Steve Hoffman as Beatles Bible, though I only drop in Now And Then (normally when there’s a big release). Same avatar. I don’t really use any other forums, though occasionally swing by reddit.com/r/beatles.

I do post on a few other forums but nowhere near as much as here, i signed up at Steve’s and will check in every Now And Then as well as being over at the Bootlegzone forum.

I like it here, too much a creature of comfort to bother being elsewhere too often plus i’d have no time left to do anything else (its like you occasionally want to go out but if feels good getting back home). Being far too lazy to think of another username if you see meanmistermustard elsewhere its probably me.

Cheers folks.  I had spotted you Joe and DrBeatle.

Same here mmm, which is why I got twitchy when we were out of action for so long (even though I think I hit 100 posts over there in 2 days – oh my).

In addition to being on this Beatles forum, I’m also on forums for Guns N’ Roses and Nine Inch Nails, which just speaks to how schizophrenic my musical tastes are.

Back when I was younger (like, around my early teens) I was a member of the Snopes urban legends forums.  I was banned because I lied about my age and name in my profile (they required you to put your real name in your profile).  I don’t do that anymore.  I haven’t lied about my age here and I haven’t had occasion to reveal my real name here.

I wouldn’t recommend anything I just listed, mainly because I don’t envision anybody here wanting to go to the band forums listed and I wouldn’t recommend the urban legends forums because the members and staff were pretty rude.  Of course, I don’t know how the urban legends forums are now, as I haven’t been there in about eight years.

I'm Necko.  I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

ahdn_paul_06 The only other site I use is the back up site I made in case this forum is not working. I mainly just add content and play around with it so that when it is needed it works. If this site is working you shouldn’t really be using my site

This is my favorite board and my favorite thread is “Yesterday …And Today” (in essence, where we are now!)

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Here it is. @Ahhh Girl, can you do the merging duties.

@Ahhh Girl, @Zig, @Joe can one of you delete this post now as it has no need to remain. Thanks.

Merge done.

No way do I use another board. This one keeps me plenty busy enough. I trust you all to feed me Beatles knowledge as we go along together.

Years ago when I was first cutting my teeth on the Internet (and still had an achingly slow connection with dial-up) I found a gigantic very polished McCartney site (probably “Macca Central” but I’m not sure).  I joined as “Scrambled Eggs”.

I remember noting on that forum with cheeky amusement what the (then) host of The Late Late Show (1999-2004), Craig Kilborn, referred to as the comical resemblance between Paul and actress Angela Lansbury (a reference which Kilborn’s successor, the Scottish-born Craig Ferguson, continues with even more wicked relish).  At the time, I was so computer-illiterate I didn’t know how to even search for photographs let alone upload them onto a forum — so someone else did me the favor and posted two giant pics of Paul and Angela side by side, which I later showed to my sister to her delight (she has the same sense of humor I do).

Nope! Just this one. This is actually my first forum…

If I would be on other forums, I would get so distracted, I would be on the internet 24/7.

Anyway, from what I have seen, this is the best Beatles forum!

In terms of Beatles, this is my first one. It’s weird having actual human females on here.

I usually frequent Reddit, and I used to be one of the most popular members on Doctor Who TV (on the Whoniverse Discussion page mostly), but I decided to have a really long break since the Beatles have taken over me, and I was basically using it to vent, but nobody could do anything. They’d probably be happy to see me again, actually. I contacted one of my old friends from there the other day via Private Messaging, so I could probably go back at some point.

What do you mean by that? I’m only guessing that there are no other women on Reddit or Whoniverse Discussion.

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

What type of females do you get elsewhere if they are not human? Woodpeckers? Aardvarks? Goldfish?

Here’s one from The Pink Panther cartoons, much better than Arthur who doesnt even resemble an aardvark.
