My school band is playing medleys by all of these bands. And I’m also lobbying for The Beatles to be included in our repertoire, of course!

Attila (The one with Billy Joel)
And not quite bands but…
Great choices, especially The Eagles, Wings, and Billy Joel. Weird Al can be funny as hell, I’ve never heard of Atillia, Not that big into Klaatu or The Rutles, and although I’ve heard a couple of her songs and wasn’t dissapoined with what I heard, I’m too old to be into Taylor Swift, although she doesn’t look that bad, but she’d look better if she added some weight.

I don’t like how Taylor Swift stopped writing her own songs. I respected here influence on millions of girls with a some cowboy boots and a guitar who wrote songs, but she’s sold out. Just like Dylan!

Attila is a heavy metal band(actually just a duo) that Billy Joel was in.

She still writes her own stuff, shes just moved to more of a pop style.

Billy Joel in a metal band, that’s so funny. What’s next, Michael Bolton auditioned for Black Sabbath. Sounds more hard rock than heavy metal to me, hard rock is like Led Zeppelin, KISS, AC/DC, Queen, and Van Halen, whereas heavy metal’s like Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, and other metal bands.

Check again, I’m pretty sure most of her newest album had ghost writers.

You’re never too old for anything. Saying you’re too old for newer music is the same as me saying I’m too young for older music.
Transcending from generation to generation is what music is all about.

I like a bit of Taylor’s stuff and I’m in my 50s. Nothing anywhere says you have to be a certain age to enjoy a much younger artist.

It’s so strange hearing him sing metal. It’s the only heavy metal album I own.

She contributes a lot to the song writing process. Her songs are more written by her than most of the artists today.

I love Space Ace! His 1978 solo record is one of my all time favourite records.
I think Paul Stanley is a good singer and great front man but Ace is an awesome guitarist and is a pretty good songwriter as well.

I agree. I have a T-shirt that is his face from the cover of that solo album. We went to a place several years ago that had the iron-on designs where they do the shirt in front of you. I hadn’t seen one of those places since probably the 70s or 80s, so it was very nostalgic.
