Good to know you like Muse– me mam’s obsessed with them, especially ‘Black Holes and Revelations’
Ah really? Interesting. Well, if she likes that sort of thing, then it isn’t such a wonder she might find ‘A Pillow Of Winds’ a bit dull.
I don’t know what mams are supposed to like– mine likes seventies/eighties/nineties soft rock and classical piano.

^^ Mine likes rocky stuff but it has to be catchy, and it helps if it’s happy.
So bands like ‘Fleetwood Mac’, ‘Kasabian’, ‘Muse’, ‘ELO’ and ‘REM’ are her favourites.

the Moody Blues. With the exception of the Grateful Dead they’re the band I’ve seen the most times 🙂 Here’s a little story about one of their concerts:

Let me flesh this out a bit more even.
Add:
Frank Sinatra (it’s only the past oh maybe four or five years I’ve really begun to appreciate him and love his voice)
Aerosmith (since I was a pre teen)
Adele (I don’t care, I think she’s a freaking powerhouse)
Janis Joplin (and alternately Amy Winehouse)
Annie Lennox
Joni Mitchell
Karen Carpenter (to round out my little list of fantastic female voices there)
The Doors
Crosby, Stills, and Nash (add Young, too!)
And The Reverend Al Green can take me to church.
