So what are everyone’s favourite bands EXCEPT The Beatles. I know the Beatles are perfect but this isn’t the place to talk about them. My list are:
My Chemical Romance(my boyfriends <3)
5 Seconds of Summer(my other boyfriends <3)
Bowling for Soup(my OTHER other boyfriends<3)
and quite a lot more. So what music do you guys like except the Beatles?

Actuall, I did find a similar thread that asked people to post their top 5 bands (The Beatles could be included), but this is broader so I let it stand.

Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones
Who
David Bowie
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (and solo Tom Petty, also Traveling Wilburys)
Queen
Pink Floyd
Nirvana / Pearl Jam / Soundgarden (I had a decent thing for grunge a few years ago, still listen to these three bands)
Nine Inch Nails
Alabama Shakes
A bunch more, too. I’m open to a bunch of different music and love discovering new things. I’m always on Spotify playing around, and they’ve actually recommended me some pretty decent things.

Bands:
Electric Light Orchestra – I only own their greatest hits so I’ve never listened to a proper album of theirs, but their greatest hits are all great
Pink Floyd – Pink Floyd is the only band for me where I can’t really just listen to one of their songs; I have to listen to the full album because their albums are masterpieces and they flow so well.
Simon and Garfunkel (are they considered a band?)
Solo artists:
Bob Dylan – His music makes me cry all the time because it’s so good
Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra – Very calming and happy music, and they both have great voices
Louis Prima – Again, I only have his greatest hits album which I love, but I have a feeling his studio albums would be a little underwhelming anyways like Sinatra’s and Dean Martin’s are for the most part
Taylor Swift – I absolutely love everything she has ever put out (with a couple exceptions from her first album). When 1989 came out it was the only thing I listened to for months

I could swear there was already a thread like this as well – not the same top 5 thread AG linked to. But, when in Rome…
The Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton (and his various bands), Grateful Dead, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, U2, The Clash, Blue Oyster Cult, The Cult, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Neil Young, David Bowie, The Eagles, Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Kansas, The Marshall Tucker Band, Pink Floyd, Rush, The Smithereens, Smokey Robinson (with or without The Miracles), The Who, AC/DC, Traveling Wilbury’s and way too many old Blues artists to mention (Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, BB King, etc…).
All of those really are favorites – not just bands I like.

There is also ‘Are the Beatles your favourite band?’` which sort of turned into a thread about if not, which band was, and if so, which bands were also your favourites.

And this is precisely why I haven’t participated in this thread yet. I’ll list a hundred different bands and still feel like I’m leaving someone out.

Spotify is okay USUALLY. But my taste in music is things like hippy rock, emo, gangster rap, punk rock and stuff, but I get things like Justin Bieber recommended to me(I hate him so much)
Why do you hate the Biebs? I personally think he’s alright. His last album was for the most part okay, but the four songs off it they play on the radio all the time are pretty bangin’. And who could resist the beautiful melodies and lyrics of his old hits like “One Time” and “Baby”?

Are you still bitter about him taking over the spot of the original JB? I was a little upset about it at first too, but the Jo Bros were already dying out when J. Biebs came around.
