Does anybody know (or can anybody guess) what instrument she has played for over 40 years (pic was taken in the 1970s, but she’s still going strong). No cheating with Google!
(Hint: it’s a fairly unusual musical instrument for a female to play in the broad category of pop/rock/soul/jazz):

Offline Unusual instrument for a woman to play in general (i cant think of anything usual for a woman to play or why it would be) or for anyone to play in a pop/jazz/soul/rock? Im going for the kazzoo which would be an unusual intrument to appear in a band.

Is that Phoebe Snow? I’m not sure what she played…nothing unusual, I’m pretty sure.
